Damn wet

Adina’s POVOne could begin with the amazing cool breeze that feels the air. One could even begin with a busy arena of the airport as people from all walks of life walked briskly to meet up with their flights. Or one could decide to begin with the different voices of PSA’s which echoed loudly in the airport, one could clearly hear the French accent as they spoke. I walked with my mini luggage heading to board a taxi to my suite. Hey there, I’m Adina, a senior hotel staff at the M’hotels back in America. I just arrived here in France because I was commissioned by my company to come here alone to invite a senior professional hotel manager, Ace. I’m having a meeting with him at a restaurant tomorrow, so I have to arrive at my suite quickly in order to get some rest. Ace wasn't a dangerous man, but he’s not a saint either, so I have to be really careful around him.“Taxi?” I called out, pointing to a Taxi driver eagerly looking for a passenger. I arrived at my suite at about 8 pm, fre

Hard work

Tyson’s POVI had just finished yet another meeting and headed for my suite, where I saw Sophie sitting on the bed watching some Tik Tok. I went to the bathroom freshened up and we both decided to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Sophie got dressed and we both went down, just halfway down the food, I noticed a familiar face sitting a few miles away from our table. It was Adina, my ex- wife, she rolled her eyes hard the minute she saw me. I just chuckled as I watched Sophie be the possessive woman that she was and Adina being the sassy and sarcastic woman I know. The ladies were still pulling off their stunt and Adina was carried away, I noticed the dude she sat with placed something inside her glass of wine. He sure was up to no good. Minutes later, after Adina drank that glass, I noticed that she started feeling some type of way so she excused herself to the bathroom. It wasn’t long before this said guy followed her too, at this point something was definitely fishy. Immed

Her own medicine

***** Adina’s POV ****I woke up with a slight headache and held my head in chagrin. I was surprised when I saw myself lying naked next to this bastard Tyson, just then memories from last night began playing back in my head. I cursed myself for making such a mistake.I quickly got dressed and left the room sneakily. I still haven’t gotten over the fact that I had just had sex with my ex-husband when I met Sophie down at the lobby looking for Tyson maybe. She started walking towards me furiously, I guess she must have noticed the kiss stain on my neck. Oh, what a pity. She must have been waiting for Tyson the whole night, but couldn’t find him, poor thing. “You insolent bastard, how dare you seduce my fiancé, huh?” she barked at me.“Ha-ha, wait a minute did I just hear you say fiancé? Wow, you’re such a joke. Since you stepped into our marriage and made us divorce, it’s been five years Sophie, five whole years. And he hasn’t married you? Wow, that must be so heartbreaking right? A w

Back in America

Adina’s POVIt’s so good to be home at last, I walked right into my office expecting today to be a great day, but unfortunately, I don't think it's going to be that way. I thought so because, there he was, Trent Bradley, walking lazily to me. I already knew his reason for coming so I just put on my straight face. Trent was my rival and also my competitor for the manager position. He was awarded the position so definitely he was coming here to show off. “Well, well, well, look who we have here. If it isn't my very own competitor.”“What do you want Trent?”“Oh come on senorita, don't be so hard on me. That would make your beautiful face get wrinkled too early.”I just rolled my eyes, if there was anything he was good at aside from his job that would be flirting. Well, that I understand, but what I didn't understand was the reason he would be competing for the position of a manager with me when he was the sole heir to this long-history hotel, but I wasn't in any way afraid of competin

On the same day

Tyson’s POVI had just finished with a meeting and was preparing to head home. I checked the time on my phone and it was 4:15 pm April 20th, then it dawned on me. Today's my late son Ricky’s anniversary. I quickly rushed into my car and went to a toy shop, got him his favorite iron man toy, and got a bouquet after that. I headed to the cemetery to visit his grave, Ricky was such a lovely soul. He was the happiest thing that ever happened to Adina and I until he lost his life to an operation on this same day five years ago. I got to the cemetery and was about to walk to his grave when I met his mom already there. I didn't want to go any closer because she wouldn't be happy to see me here, till this day she still blames me for my son's death. I quickly stood by a corner as I watched her shed tears and talked to him like he was sitting right next to her. Hot tears escaped my eyes as I stood there watching her, some hours later she was done and was about to leave when her eyes met mi

Mummy, just one look

Adina’s POV I got home later that night and went ahead to cover my puffy eyes. I didn't find a good reason to take any rest as I was already missing my princess. Tomorrow is my work-off day and I had promised to visit my four-year-old daughter Ava and I don’t want to end up disappointing her. I got dressed and boarded a night train. Minutes later I caught up with my train heading to the country where Ava lives. It would take quite some hours before reaching there so I decided to nap a little. I woke halfway through and stayed awake all through. I got to my destination and alighted from the train. It was already morning when I got to my destination, so I headed straight to where my daughter lives with Mrs. Rose. I gave my daughter a big fat hug when I finally saw her as her warm smile healed my broken heart in an instant. Ava right here was my strength after losing Ricky, she made me complete again and gave me enough reason to cheer up once again. Without her in my life I would n

Lucky day

Tyson’s POVI walked out of my company feeling so exhausted. As a CEO of an international finance company this is my usual feeling, I even had to work on weekends which added to my frustration. I got into my car heading out, I scanned the contract in my hands as I sat waiting for the traffic lights. This contract’s contents are really going to be profitable to me, but there are some minor circumstances surrounding it. It states that I’m going to merge a long-history hotel, called M Hotel, the fact that of all the hotels in this city it has to be this one. Merging with this hotel means I’m gonna be seeing more of Adina. And in the other hand, as a businessman, I can’t refuse a profitable business, but this would also mean that the relationship between I and my ex-wife would be incurable. The only option I have right now is to go do some investigation myself to make sure they had the ability to avoid the merge fate and that’s where I’m currently headed. I was driving off when my e

Sea dad

Adina’s POVI got to where my car was parked and went in, Emma and Ava were already seated. I dropped my bag and was about to start the car when Ava’s voice stopped me. “Mommy? Did I play the game well?”She asked with the cutest voice. “Yes darling you did, and trust me you'll make a great actress in the future. Momma is so proud if you”“Yay!”She screams in excitement. “Okay, who's ready to go to the park?”“I am!”“Hello people, Am I invincible?” Emma asked.“Sorry Aunty Emma, I guess mommy didn't see you there. Right mommy?”“Yes darling.” I replied and we both shared a laugh. “Like mother like daughter, hmm?” Emma scoffed.“You can say that again.”We all headed to the park singing and humming to different songs with a mother daughter and best friends combo. This moments were magical, Emma and Ava are my greatest joy.We got to the park and had so much fun, we went on different rides, played different games together, took lunch and continued our fin time till it was evening.

Demoted

Adina’s POVIt was a beautiful morning, I got out of bed to do my usual morning business. Christmas was already knocking by the door which meant better service to customers. I got dressed and went to work. I was shocked when Ace welcomed me the moment I entered. “Hello, Miss Abby. It's such a pleasure to see you.”He said with a smirk in his face, with a confused expression I walked past him and went straight to my office. What the hell was he doing here? My meeting with him didn't end well last time, who knows what he was up to now? Just then the realization hit me, he is a professional hotel manager Abby. He was probably sent here to be responsible for the gentrification and upgrade of the hotel’s running. Oh no, this might be bad for me. This also means he has the power to induce personal Change in the running of the hotel. That must be the reason for the decorations I saw earlier, today was his welcome party. Wow, how time flies so fast. I quickly composed myself and went out

Christmas rage

Adina’s POVI could begin with the excitement inside me today, or I could begin with the beautiful lighting in the city shining so bright announcing the arrival of Christmas. Every Christmas seems to bring something special to me so I prayed deep down that this year's Christmas shouldn't be any different. We were informed some days back that we would be receiving a very special guest which I look forward to because I'll be serving them today.I got dressed in my Christmas winter jacket looking all polished like Santa before leaving for work. I got to work and went straight to the staff quarters getting set for the day. When I got out, to my surprise, something unexpected happened. Right in front of me were the two people I despise so much. Tyson and Sophie, were they the special guests we were having? I thought. I was shocked at first but decided to show professionalism and just ignore them to do my job. I quickly curled a smile and walked up to them.“Merry Christmas Miss. Bit an
