Arabel's POVIf there is anything I hate, it is a seed of doubt. It tends to grow bigger with each passing moment, until I find myself dropping Daisy off back at Ashley's and coming here to LaRosa Club.I would also be spending the night at Ashley's. I can't go back to the penthouse. The thought of Alex coming back scares the shit out of me.As soon as I enter, I realize how deafening the loud music is. I wave my way through the crowd, feeling silly for coming here and wanting to catch Richard pants down with Eve.Richard never cheated in our marriage. But he can do that now. We aren't even in a relationship yet, so why am I doing this?If this is true, Richard will never see me again. I won't let him take me for a fool again.I move closer to the bar, signaling to the bartender to get me a drink. He flashes a smile, tempting me to ask him if he has seen anyone like Richard around. That is even more silly.Grabbing the glass, I gulp it all down, whirling around to scan through the cro

Arabel's POVDarting my gaze around, I realize the reason why he brought me here.Outside the transparent window, there is an overview of a beautiful beach. There are people beside it sunbathing.“I see you love it.” His murmurs make me turn my head away from the window. With a smile, I reply. “Yeah.”He places the tray containing steak and a bottle of red wine in between us, making me bounce my gaze from the meal to him.“Lunch,” he only says before sitting back and relaxing with folded arms.Since he told me about Alex this morning, I have been in a terrible mood. I told him to give me some space to let everything process in my head.First, Alex took Daisy without my knowledge. And now, he is trying to sabotage my relationship with Richard by planning with Eve.Not only did he do that, but he even went so far as to marry and impersonate Richard.I should have known the moment he said almost everything about Richard's meeting with Eve. I should have suspected him.Apparently, it was

Richard's POVI figured coming to see things for myself was best. I would be able to check in with maintenance and have Arabel's lock changed.Caleb's sharp intake makes me snap my head to him as I think over my decision to tell him.My secret.I haven't told my mother yet, and I don't intend to. I know she would persuade me to tell Arabel, and I am not ready for that yet. When I have Alex and Eve safely locked up in jail and no longer a threat to our relationship, I will tell her.For now, I can't.But I want to tell Caleb.“Here we are,” he says, driving straight into the garage and stopping. He comes out of the car, and I do the same.He visited right after Leo left, and I suggested we come to the penthouse together.Unlike Arabel's description, the entire place isn't completely dark. I figured it was probably Alex's doing. The maintenance of the house continues regardless of my presence.I take long strides towards the maintenance office, knocking slightly on the door before ventu

Arabel's POVRichard kisses me with every ounce of passion and it makes me feel bad about leaving.Even though I don't feel like going back to London alone, I really need to. Work is calling, and I have to go back to my staff at home.“I will come see you next week, as soon as I am done with this shitload!” He mutters, cursing beneath his breath as he drags a pleat of hair behind my ear. With a light smile on my face, I nod.Since the night with Richard, he has been so clingy that it scares me so much. I thought I was the clingy one, but he is worse.Marrying him again is no longer in question, and I hope he doesn't ask me that anytime soon, because the answer would be no.This is just because I can't help it.I want to test the waters. Even though my emotions are taking over my head.Richard has been treating me right. So fucking right that it scares me. It makes me happy. And it makes me so sad. It's so fucking crazy with the whirlwind of emotions I am feeling these days. It makes m

Richard's POVWe took the company's helicopter to London.Caleb and I.Mother and Ashley insisted on coming along, but Caleb was able to persuade them to stay back. He promised to call them once we had any news. While they are going crazy with worry, I am losing my mind. The front door of the mansion opens, and Natty flashes me a quick smile. “Mr. Richard.”“Natty, how have you been?” She closes the door behind Caleb and turns to face me squarely. “Is Bella here?”“No sir. She was supposed to arrive yesterday, but we haven't seen her yet. I am still waiting for her arrival,” she replies innocently, as my heart stutters in my chest, my breathing stalling. We didn't see her at the airport, and she isn't home either. Where is she, then? Is she still in New York? Is she hiding somewhere to prevent me from finding her?“She hasn't called either.” Caleb demands on my behalf, and Natty shakes her head, a look of worry creeping into her face.“Is everything okay?” she asks with curiosity.“Ye
