RILEY “Take me to your place. I want to sleep there tonight,” I uttered before I could stop myself. I almost gasped at how I had uttered such words. But then, the look of shock and surprise on the vile lady’s face made it hard for me to take back my words.“Now I know why I hate her so much just at first sight.”She looked like the type that would smile and play with you in your presence but then criticize and tarnish your image behind your back.“I doubt you can go to his house with him…miss holier than though,” she smiled giving me a daring look.“Just stop, Nancy,” Nathan intervened. “Come, Riley, I'll take you home,” he offered. He still looked guilty and was suddenly calm.He walked over to me to grab my hand but then I shifted aside.“See, you don't even have the courage to hold his hand,” Nancy laughed.“I'm not a whore like you. I don't go about holding hands or sleeping with anything in pants…” At my words, Nancy had this look of shock on her face, it was as if she never

NATHANRight from the moment I saw that red car on our trail, I knew I had to worry. The sight of Nancy was and will never be good news. I sometimes wonder if that bitch was cursed. There was nothing good about her and she reeked of bad luck.I tried my best to make her lose track of me, but then just one moment of distraction made her catch up with me.When she uttered those words about the past, I was honestly scared. So scared that I yelled in frustration. I feared how Riley would react if she found out the truth about the past this way, I feared how she would react if she found out how much I hurt her in the past. Everything about the past scared me.When Riley took that step towards her, it was as if I was getting choked, I felt like I was about to lose my substance, my reason for existence. But then when things didn't go the way Nancy must have visualized it, I honestly felt so thankful and heaved out in relief even though it might just be temporary. I knew I would continue to

RILEY “Is…Is that me?” I asked, staring at the display right in front of me.When Nathan and I walked into his living room, I was honestly impressed at the decor and how moderate everything is. Being the most eligible bachelor in the whole of New York and even here in Texas, I expected an insane amount of luxury, like everyone else. I mean, Leah and I have been to Grayson’s house a few times, his decor screamed luxury, and everything was insanely decorated with expensive materials as if to establish the fact that he is wealthy. Starting from the moment he unlocked the gate, I was impressed at how minimal he kept things. At a glance, you would definitely tell that the house is owned by a wealthy person, he established that fact without filling every inch of the place with completely useless but expensive stuffs like Grayson.Walking into his living room and drinking in the beauty of the place, something caught my eye. Wait, not just a thing, a lot of things hung up at a corner caught

LEAHAfter my encounter with Ethan, I headed home with my head a mess. I couldn't stop thinking of how much my actions had hurt him, and how horrible he would think I am.Driving back home was like torture to me. I reflected on my life and every single thing I've been doing for the past three years. It hurt me so much to discover that I've never done anything that interests me for these three years. I had dedicated it all to Riley. My company, which was my source of joy, working as the CEO had always given me a sense of belonging, but then I gave it up for Riley and chose to be her assistant. I couldn't think of anything I hadn't done to make my sister happy but what do I get in the end? I didn't even want to think of it.When I got home and realized that Riley who had left way before me wasn't back yet, it infuriated me. She chose to go with that bastard, I let her have her way, yet she suddenly goes somewhere else with him. I didn't know how much I was going to endure this new attit

LEAHMy entire body was on fire, I could feel myself dripping down there, Ethan has always had so much effect on me, but I never expected it to be this much. “What am I even saying?”It has always been this much.Him, putting me on his shoulder, my nipples pressing onto his back was the end game. The clothes I was putting on was a thin layered night gown that barely concealed my body. How Ethan’s eyes roamed me when I pulled the door open was the start of it all, I tried really hard to pull myself together, but the moment my nipple grazed his back, I lost all self control and craved his touch. I badly wanted to be under him. When he put me in the car and walked off to the other side, It was as if I would run mad. I nearly lost my sanity.Pulling him close to me the moment he leaned in to buckle up the seatbelt, the only words I could utter was;“Take me right here, please.”“Sweetie,” his husky voice resonanted. The fire within me made his voice twice as husky“Take me, Ethan,” I moa

RILEY Nathan’s scent filled his room, I mean it's his room after all. The familiar scent of his perfume coaxed me to sleep. This will be the first time I'm sleeping out since I opened my eyes to a new life, but I totally didn't mind. I was honestly so comfortable that it scared me at some point. “What if I wake up one day and realize Nathan isn't who I think he is? What if I find out the reason why Leah wants me to stay far away from him?” When morning came, I rose from the bed and took my time to shower. Nathan had placed two clothes on a chair last night and I had worn one of them to sleep. I guess the other one was for this morning. Wearing his shorts and shirts while bare on the inside was a totally new feeling on its own. “When did you get this dirty minded, Riley?” I was shocked myself. After using my finger to brush my hair and staring at myself in the huge mirror in his dressing room, I walked out of the room and headed down the stairs. Once I got there, I found Natha

NATHAN“Do not come an inch close to me,” Riley warned. The look she gave me scared the hell out of me.“Baby,” I whispered.“I'm not your fucking baby,” she warned, her hands vibrated. Her eyes held fear, resentment and anger.I felt life leaving me.“Baby, What's wrong?” I asked yet again, taking baby steps towards here. She backed away, sending glares at me.“I lost my child because of you, I keep living like I have no childhood, I fucking went through hell because of of you and what! You're asking me what's wrong? When you know exactly what you did, you monster!!” She yelled.“Baby, I swear, I….”“Call me baby one more time and I'll put my fingers into your eyes.”“How did you feel when you ruined me? You got me pregnant, and still went ahead to stand me up on the wedding day. You're a monster Nathan Martinez. You do not deserve to be with any woman!” She screamed, tears rushing down her face.I was weak on the knees, I consider myself a strong man, but right now it was as if life

RILEYA joker, that was exactly what I felt like. You know one of those clowns with silly makeups, that's exactly what I felt like. The moment my memories came crashing into my mind, I felt like a fool, an idiot, a senseless thing. I've been living like a stranger in a new city all because of this prick and worst I let myself get swayed again. I let myself get swayed by his handsome face yet again. Now, I understand why my school mates used to call guys with handsome faces jerks. Had it been my memories never came back to me, I would have let myself get deceived and who knows, this time I wouldn’t make it out alive.Watching him question what was wrong and acting all nice towards me, further made me realize the fact that he was mentally unstable. The fact that he has the effrontery to act like he didn't know what he did, to act like he was completely clueless marveled me. The moment I stepped out of that house, the only thing I had in mind was to curl up in my bed and cry. I didn't wa

RILEY I flagged down a cab, no the cab was there as if it just dropped someone off. I just got in. But before I could shut the door Nathan rushed right in, dragging me out of the car and slamming the door shut.“What the fuck are you doing!” I growled at him.My eyes instantly went to the driver to apologize, Nathan had slammed the car door really hard and no driver would let that off.But the moment I looked at him, he smiled. It wasn't just any smile. You know that smile of psychopaths in Korean dramas, the smile that sends chills down your spine, the smile that just gives off the fact that this person was here to hurt you, that's exactly how the cab driver smiled.“I'll see you again, beauty,” he waved at me and drove off.I stood rooted to the ground staring at the car’s retreating shadow.“You're going back home with me right now!" Nathan suddenly announced, the authority in his voice annoyed the crap out of me.“And who are you again?" I asked. My body was shaky, I was trying t

RILEY After spending the night at the hotel. I woke up with my mind already made up. I was leaving for New York this morning. There was nothing left for me here. I've been living in Leah’s shadow all these while. I've worked at her clothing company for three years when I have never had any interest in that. And then, looking back at how I dressed and all. It was as if Leah wanted to change every single thing about me to erase the past or something. One thing was sure, I wasn't the type to wear revealing clothes, but looking at the photos I took these past few years, I realized my sister had tried a lot to change every single thing about how I used to live and who I used to be. As if it would wipe the unpleasant memories that came crashing yesterday. “I will and could never change for a man,” I told myself.Rising from the bed, I took my time to pick out a dress from the heap that lay on the couch in the living room. Last night, I requested for a decent dress but then the manager brou
