Liya’s POV“This tastes like shit!”I jolted at the Alpha Wade's sudden thunderous voice that boomed, sending fear down my spine in the form of heavy shudders.Throwing my eyes down to gawk at the floor while cowering by a corner, I noticed his dark gaze on me and it was every bit as distasteful as his tone depicted.I had spent almost all evening in the kitchen, preparing dinner, rather than remaining in my room, resting from another detested day at school.I wasn't sure if to feel extremely saddened by it or just ignore it. But I can be sure that right now, I can only lower my head and remain silent, even trying to breathe as lightly as possible. Once I make any sound, it will only bring about more dreadful consequences.Without even lifting my head, I know that at this moment, my mother, just like me, is beside him, bowing her head. It was always like this, Alpha Wade'd say what he wanted to me and she wouldn't even move a muscle.I figured she felt that doing all that would help h

Liya’s POVSchoolDing-Ding-I could hear the glory bells setting off in my ears as I had rushed into the classroom. I was a sweating, panting mess but I didn't care, I was just glad I made it just in time.I wished I had not rushed in so blindly because I had ended up colliding with Connor. His icy blue orbs that had once lit up in excitement at seeing me, almost immediately darkened when I noticed Tiffany slithering around him while twirling her brunette locks between her fingers. My eye twitched at the mere sight of Tiffany and I was just seconds away from sneezing at her obnoxious perfume. I had no idea why she loved such heavy perfume but I definitely knew it was more irritating than disgusting."Damn it!" I heard Connor mutter a curse word underneath his breath before taking a step away from me.He was the Alpha heir of a neighboring pack that had allied with Wade's pack and a heartthrob for many girls. His beach blond hair that had wavy tendrils graze his forehead and icy blue

Liya’s POVI had woken up bubbly today because today was the day I finally gain my freedom.Yesterday, Connor told me about the recent news of a rogue breakout that caused a stir. All packs have heightened their security levels. But fortunately, the Werewolf Council organized a meeting to discuss the escalating rogue attacks. All Alphas and their mates would attend. So, Connor could bring me to his pack. I was going to hide in his room, and once it was 2 am, we planned to run away with the supplies he had successfully gathered.I had already made up my mind. Today, on this full moon day, I would give myself to Connor! It was my way of expressing my love for him, marking the beginning of a new life! Now my only worry was the triplets but they had muttered something about going to hang out with friends till late in the evening. It's as if they made way for me on purpose. But I don't want to think about what they think right now. I was too giddy at the thought of giving myself to Connor.

Liya's POV"Connor!!" I was screaming, stumbling around aimlessly and snapping my head left and right vainly in search of him. He seemed to have disappeared into thin air right before my eyes. Or had the triplets done something to him?!The tears pooling in my eyes and streaming down my face like a waterfall blurred my vision, and the ache in my chest did not relent. Suddenly, I could not breathe. As though all the oxygen channeling to my lungs had been cut off."Help…" I tried to scream, but it came out as a whimper.Something was happening to me! My head spun wildly, sending my eyes rolling to the back of my head. Gasping, I fell to my knees. I was still in the process of piecing together the sudden changes going through my body when I felt a light breeze swirl past me. In the very next second, a soft feminine voice echoed in my head, nearly making me jump out of my skin."Just breathe…and no matter what happens, don't stop breathing. Go slow, steady."What on earth?! My eyes widene

Gunter's POVFor the second time since we insisted on Liya's discharge from the hospital and helped her into the car, I glanced back at her. The pain my wolf was feeling radiated through my entire being as I shut my eyes tightly, angrily. I was worried, yes. But even more so, I was pissed.Pissed that she would not let us even an inch close to her without bursting into tears and screaming at us to get away. Even as we sat in the car together, with Hunter driving us back home on Father's orders, Liya had not uttered a single word. Ryder had apologized yet again, but trying to talk to her was a pointless feat. She sat curled up in the corner of the back seat, keeping a very far distance away from me.Despite all our attempts, Liya would not budge. Normally I would not have given two fucks about her, if she was willing to speak or not. But since my wolf recognised her scent as my mate, things were different. I was so drawn to her I could barely contain myself. The urge to mark her height
