Callie POV"We need to celebrate," Carson says, wrapping his arms around my waist and spinning me around like a lunatic. The preliminary hearing went well. I asked Donna if I could stay outside, and she said yes, so I took the opportunity to stay away from all that testosterone. Rachel was right when she said there were too many good-looking people in one room; it even made me feel self-conscious about myself and how I was pretending to be something I was not. The court case will begin in less than two months, and the anxiety is increasing as we now have a date; I can't even begin to understand how I am supposed to keep my head above water with all the attention this case is having. Two more girls are joining the court case against Judge Julio Rover. Donna and Cornelius are gathering all their stuff, and I hope this helps my case. "Where are we going?" I ask as I look at Rachel, who chews on the side of her finger. I frown as I look at her. Her eyes glued on the screen of her phone.

Callie POV“I hope this is okay,” Cornelius says, and I nod my head. I don’t think I have ever been to a place like this. Don’t get me wrong; I’ve been to plenty of expensive places, but nothing like this, nothing to this caliber. Rachel has been trying to get reservations here for over one year, and this guy clicks his finger and gets one. Amazing what money can buy. “Sure it is,” I let out with my most polite smile. I don’t even think I am dressed enough. Taking a deep breath, I scan the menu, but suddenly, the hair on the back of my neck rises, and a shiver travels down my spine. Trying to recompose myself quickly, I move my eyes from the menu, and I see the reason for my discomfort. Those blue eyes locked on me. I keep my head held high and watch as a woman clicks her fingers in front of his eyes. It’s like he is waking up from a deep thought. His eyes become alive again as he sits straight on his chair and moves his eyes from me to the beautiful woman sitting next to him. He mo

Callie POVTonight, I feel like I have entered the twilight zone. Everything was super weird, especially when Jagger approached me. The way he looked at me and behaved was really weird. The way he touched me and how my entire body woke to his touch was absolutely insane. I have never felt anything like that before. No other man has ever touched me the way he did. Taking a deep breath, I turn the TV off as I lay down on my bed. I don’t know if I will be able to forget everything that happened tonight, but I hope that if I still remember it in ten years' time, I won’t feel the same way I am feeling now. Sleep takes its sweet ass time to get to me, but when it does, I am taken to the land of dreams, where Jagger is the main character. I open my eyes, jumping as I feel my heart beating like there’s no tomorrow. I look around the room, trying to find the source of the noise, but my brain is not functioning properly yet. I take several breaths as I look around the room, and then I hear t

Callie POV“I swear only the two of you would make me wear something like this,” I protest as I look at myself in the mirror. It’s not that I don’t like what I am wearing; it’s just not me. It looks more like Rachel than me. “That dress looks amazing on you,” Carson says as he plops his feet on the chair in front of him. Carson is sitting on my bed, well, more like laying on my bed while Rachel applies bronzer to my forehead. I never wear this much makeup, but Rachel decided today was the day she was going to do it. “I know it does, but it’s very… revealing,” I say as I look at Carson through the mirror. He waves his hand, trying to shut me up. “Today is a very important day for my dad, so please do this for me; you know how stressed I have been because of this deal,” Rachel says, and I nod. Her father is landing some serious business deals today and I promised I would go with her to the party he is throwing. “I know,” I let out, and she smiles as she does the final touches, and I

Jagger POV“Is everything okay?” Dash asks as I empty the glass he just passed to my hand. I nod, signaling the barman to pour another one. I have my back turned to the event. I don’t want to be here, but unfortunately, I am the one overviewing Wyatt’s business transactions, so I am here doing a job. That’s how I need to see this. A job. “Okay, I know you’re not okay, but I am not going to press it,” Dash says, and I nod, thanking every fucking God in the sky he will let go for once. “But you know if you need to talk about it, you can talk to me, right?” He adds, and I shake my head. Spoke and thanked the Gods too soon.“What happened to not pressing it?” I ask as I turn to face him and his brows rise as he shakes his head. I looked around the room to find Calliope talking with her friend as she said. I have a file on him, and he comes from one of the richest families in New York. The guy swims in money, but he doesn’t really show it off. He likes sleeping around, and if he thinks h
