The panic crept in like a thief, stealing what's left of Kimberly's sanity, as her classmates goaded her to jump into the vast swimming pool. “Jump! Jump! Jump,” they chanted in unison, their voices echoing off the pool deck like a haunting mantra. Madison, the team captain, led the chant with a sinister grin, reveling in Kimberly’s aquaphobia and distress.Even her mind turned against her, whispering cruel truths to her; “You can't swim, Kimberly. You're a weakling! They will laugh at you. You'll drown!” Her eyes widened, her heart throbbing wickedly against her chest, her grip on the pool railing tightening.Gripped by anxiety, she slowly stepped away from the pool’s edge, her eyes frantically scanning the dim-lit hall in desperation. That's when she saw it; a bizarre figure lurking at the far end of the pool hall.Even without her glasses, she could sense its piercing gaze cut through the shadows, boring into her with an unblinking stare. Kimberly froze, and her panic intensified

“Clark, get your brother! We're going to have dinner together as a family tonight!” Arnold yelled, calling down his two sons from the dining room, excitement evident in his voice. Kimberly, who was already seated at the dining-table, scoffed inwardly. “Since when,” she thought to herself. She knew it was her father's idea, still trying to make up for the times he spent away from his family. Soon, Clark arrived with Aaron whom he had trouble convincing to join the family dinner. Aaron found it ridiculous. As soon as they were all seated, Arnold smiled at the wholesome sight before him, then said, “Let us say grace.” Holding each other's hands, they prayed, then bowed their heads and began feasting on their meal.Kimberly, who was ridiculing the whole thing, rolled her eyes. Family dinner was barely a Silversmith's family tradition. But she couldn't blame her father, his family was drifting apart. Aaron barely spent time at home. Not that he wasn't old enough to move out, he was jus

Kimberly darted her tear-filled eyes at the grey sky above her. “Where am I?” She thought to herself, as she struggled to remember how she found herself lying on the dirty ground of the dark woods. Suddenly, an intense feeling of excruciating pain traveled throughout her body, stopping just before her legs. She couldn't feel them. Forcing her head up to look down at her legs, the searing pain from her neck wound threw her back down, making her yelp in pain, “Arghhh!”Putting pressure on the wound she had no idea how she got, she tried to look at her legs again. She was curious to know why she couldn't feel them. This time she saw it, her right leg was bent in an adjacent position pointing towards her hand and her left leg, trapped underneath a log. Kimberly's eyes widened at the horrendous state of her body, she began whimpering in pain and fear. Her clothes which were torn apart by claw marks, and were soaked in her own blood. Her head throbbed with an unnerving migraine and her sp

Kimberly confidently sauntered into school, her wavy hair bouncing on her shoulders with each step. Her hips swayed as she walked through the locker hall and she felt all the students' gaze fall on her. Whispers arose and strangely, she could distinctly hear each one of them.“Woah!” “Damn, she's hot!”“Is that Kimberly?” “The sickly nerd? No way!”“She doesn't look sick to me.”Kimberly reveled in their attention and quiet admirations. She owned the hallway, her stride exuding poise and sass. As she approached her locker, Madison and her entourage were coming her way, staring at her in surprise, mouth agape. But unlike Kimberly, she faced their jealous-struck face head-on, looking them straight in the eyes, and gave them a devilish smirk as she walked right past them. The school bell rang, and she proceeded to her classroom where another set of mesmerized eyes awaited. Including Jordan's — a former crush turned betrayer. Luckily, she'd forgotten that painful memory, for now at le

Arnold strode confidently into his garage, his eyes fixed intently on the familiar spot where he had a hidden passage built. He had it designed and constructed himself using his skills as a certified Engineer, to create a secret underground lair that was both functional and secure.Without hesitation, he pushed aside the false wall panel, revealing the entrance to the passage. He stepped through the doorway and made his way down the stairs, his footsteps echoing off the concrete walls. At the bottom of the stairs, Arnold stepped into an elevator that whisked him deeper beneath his house. The doors slid open to reveal a hidden lair; the secret headquarters of the Silversmith Werewolf Hunters. The room was a maze of ancient artifacts and modern arsenal, shrouded in an aura of foreboding and dread. He walked up to his wife, his footsteps echoing through the room. Rebecca stood by the towerings bookshelves, crafted from dark wood. It stretched towards the ceiling, heavy with tomes bound
