Cassandra’s POV I braced myself for the doctor to deliver the results. Jordyn or Dillon’s. I was about to find out, and I don’t think I’d ever been so nervous about something in my entire life.So much hinged on this. I inhaled a deep breath and waited“Your baby has a very rare blood type,” Doctor Lish said.           She’d barely finished the sentence and I found myself beaming from ear to ear.           Rare blood type?

Cassandra’s POV            None of us understood why Dillon didn’t come back. Cameron swore up and down a hundred times that he’d called Dillon to let him know I was pregnant and that he needed to come home.           Dillon had turned off his social media, so none of us could contact him that way. Apparently, he also had his phone turned off. He’d told Cameron all of this when he’d left. Cameron had a way to contact him though. Dillon had given Cameron a phone number that he could call in case of emergency.

Jordyn’s POV            Oddly enough, I had Cam’s blessing to do this. I’d spoken to both him and Stella last night. Cass didn’t know that I’d met with them, but I wanted to talk to both of them about the situation.           They were both furious that Dillon hadn’t come back. I explained my intentions. I told them how much I loved Cassandra. Cameron and I had become very close since Dillon’s disappearance. Closer than I’d ever been to another man who wasn’t a family member.     

Cassandra’s POV            I was at my desk, getting ready for a meeting with Stella. She’d recently come back to work and we had to nail down some of the details for our expansion in Paris. We were fully staffed and Hot House Flower was thriving, despite the fact that we’d both taken some time off for Stella’s chemotherapy.           Jordyn was a beast in the marketing department, and we had more orders than we could fully keep up with. I was clear by now that Dillon wasn’t coming back, at least, not anytime soon. I was pregnant and as such, I had to move on with my life.

Jordyn’s POV            Cassandra didn’t speak for three entire days. She just laid in bed, the blankets up around her chin, drifting in and out of sleep. I force fed her, of course. Propped her up and put spoonful’s of broth into her mouth. I made her sip smoothies through a straw. Stella too, and Cameron. We were all there.           She was cocooned in her own grief, a grief that I knew I could never fully understand. My heart broke for her, of course it did. It had all happened so fast. And it didn’t feel fair or right. &nbs
