Lahat ng Kabanata ng She Accepted Divorce, He Panicked: Kabanata 261 - Kabanata 270

The yard is empty and quiet. From what it looks like, the whole area is not just abandoned, but even off the power grid. Twilight brushes a bloody orange on the edge of the sky, and instantly the buildings turn dark with no light anywhere.Like a monster on its stomach, mouth open for prey. She tries to look for an emergency phone, which might still be on, but if Sebastian already tried to call the police, then that wouldn’t help anyone. She can try to sneak out of the area and look for help once she makes it. But at the moment...She has no one except Silco to turn to, and she is not even sure if that’s not delivering herself back into the mouth of the monster.Or, she can try to get out Sebastian and Authur on her own. The hardest, and the most unlikely. There is no car in the yard, but they couldn’t have come here on foot. Their cars must be somewhere, and if she could start any of them...She barely remembers how to start a car without a key from the one-time search online. She’s

A broken rib.Scar wasn’t sure how long it was for the thugs to rain hits on Sebastian. All she remembers are the swinging bats, the kicks, and the painful groans across the think door that Sebastian tried to suppress. He could barely stand when the police charged into the room, but he didn’t let go of the bat locking her door until the medical care basically had to peel him off before putting him on a stretcher.Bruises and blood all over him, he was barely conscious on the way to the hospital. They counted a few dozen bruises, mostly on his limbs. A deep cut on his left forearm, later to be determined from a nail on a table in the warehouse when he fought the thugs. But other than that, no severe wound, no inside bleedingly, and no damaged organs.A broken rib. That’s the most severe injury he got out of this crazy scheme against her life.“I can’t believe it!” Aurora keeps shouting as Scar told her what happened, “That’s so lucky! I’m so happy that you are alright, Scar! I was scar

“Wait, Adrian!” Scar chases after Adrian, but Sebastian stops her.“It’s okay, he wouldn’t know,” Sebastian sits up, a hand pressing on his broken ribs to limit its movement, “Three of them is a start. I’m sure the police are working on it.”Scar stares at him with disbelief.“They almost killed us! They almost killed YOU! How could you be so calm about it? You heard Adrian. He said THE three guys, not just three guys. He was under the impression that there were only three of them! The other two got away and they would probably come back for us!”“Brilliant deduction,” The man teases her, adjusting his body into a more comfortable position on his own, slowly settling in, “And you deem them having only five people because...?”Scar is speechless. She can’t know. There would be a whole gang working for Jack Fuller. And the police’s attitude is actually clear: they are not super into it. They didn’t come to the rescue until way later than they were supposed to be, and now they let two pe

Sebastian doesn’t want to.“I know about her episodes,” He pushes these words out of his clenched teeth. He got in touch with Scar’s medical team back when she was in the facility, but all he knew was, Scar couldn’t handle any strong emotion waves for now.“I know you do,” Silco laughs carelessly, “I was the one who told them to let you in. How else do you think you could get to MY people?”Sebastian frowns because he doesn’t want to look too surprised. The truth is, he IS surprised. He couldn’t get much more information no matter how much he offered, and before today, he thought the medical team was only being loyal to their vows of being doctors.Only now does he realize -- this man has been in control of everything. Reluctantly, Sebastian has to admit his defeat: “Please, tell me what she needs.”Silco lets out a cold snort, making it clear that he is not pleased: “You know what DPD is?”Sebastian nods. He has expected that to be her diagnosis, and he has been looking into it.“And

That’s the only plausible option. He has no idea who Silco is, and he takes this blind shot only because: he doesn't feel any hostility from Silco against Scar. Silco IS pulling off some dirty shit, but it wasn’t to hurt HER. He was the only target in this show.Silco sent the men to abduct her, but the crash managed to hit the front left corner of Scar’s car when she was in the right back seat, where she would take the least damage. They imprisoned her but didn’t even pull a knife on her, not until he barged in. They chased after them with bats and others, but Scar came out with not even a scratch. They could have easily cracked his skull when he tried to guard the door with his own body.Even if it was all a show, it was carried out with great care. His motive is not hatred toward Jack Fuller, but care for Scar. After this long, the man has dodged only one of his questions: why he is helping Scar. Why indeed. There is no other possibility. To his surprise, Sebastian’s question makes
