ODETTE’s POV.Malachi wraps his hands around my waist while I lean into his embrace. Our hotel suite is facing the ocean directly and it looks so beautiful. Part of me wishes that we can stay here for all of eternity without having to worry about anyone or anything. We have been here for three days and I can tell you that they are the best three days of my life after my wedding.I am still in awe of how Malachi was able to come up with such an amazing wedding ceremony. I am still having the jitters from the many gifts he got me. I mean he is the best husband one can ask for and I am glad he is mine for all of eternity.“What are you thinking about, wifey?” His voice filters into my head and I can’t help but smile. Wifey! I love the sound of that.“Nothing my love, just basking in the glory of our honeymoon. I can literally not get enough of it”His soft chuckle reaches my ear and my body tingles. No matter how many times I have heard this man speak or laugh, I genuinely can't get enou

ODETTE’s POV.The moment a knock resonates on our door, I allow Malachi to open it while I sit on the dining table. My mind on how to make her pay for what she did. I have let her go a lot of times and she actually thinks I am a weakling. This time around, she is going to wish she didn’t mess with me again. As soon as she steps in, Malachi’s face changes for the worst, he looks disgusted.“Aren’t you going to welcome me?” She asks, “thanks to me, you are popular again”“Speak to me and not my husband” I cut her off, “I am the one who asked the receptionist to let you in. I mean shouldn’t you be allowed to crash our honeymoon since you are a distinguished guest?”I stand up and this is when Malachi’s eyes open wide the moment he sees me with the baton, even Bryer takes a step back.“I mean, you are too important for me to ask the receptionist to send you back. You caused such a scandal back in America and you jumped right on the next available plane to the Bahamas, you are something ar

ZACHARY’s POV.Standing in front of hundreds of eyes a few days after my investigation started is actually not the right thing to do but being involved with Bryer has caused me so much already and I genuinely want my wife back. If this is the price I have to pay in order to get my wife back, I am more than willing to pay for it. The only thing I want now is to get my wife back and we can stay happy together. I am actually tired of seeing her with Malachi. I want to see her happy and smiling with me. That’s the only thing that matters to me and I don’t care how I do it, I just want her.“You can start now,” the person standing beside me says. She is Malachi’s assistant and seeing the smug look on his face as he is seated at the back of the hall aggravates me the most. I hate that he always gets the upper hand in this, I hate that I have to do this in front of him.Letting out a sigh, I clear my throat lightly before pulling the microphone towards me.“Good evening everyone and thank y

MALACHI’s POV.“Good morning sir” Emma says as she saunters into the office.“Good afternoon Emma” I flash her a little smile, “how was your night?”She freezes, a look of confusion appearing on her face.“Are you okay sir?” She asks, “you..I chortle a little, I know it’s surprising to her and to everyone else that I actually smiled this morning since I came to the office. But the news of Odette being pregnant has made me so happy that I don’t know any other feeling than happiness. When she was pregnant with Zachary’s child, I can’t lie I was jealous but I was still willing to accept the child because it also belonged to Odette but now, she was carrying my child. Mine, not Zachary’s but mine. I don’t think there is anything else that would make me more happy than this. The coming days are sure to be blissful and I am all for it.“I am very fine, Emma” I tell her while checking my watch, “make sure to clear my schedule after this morning’s meeting okay? I have dinner plans with my wif

MALACHI’s POV.The police commissioner stands up the moment he sees me and he extends his hand for a shake which I readily accept. Odette’s brothers and my lawyers are outside, I will prefer to meet him on my own for now.“I am glad you came as soon as you got the call, sir” he says.“Tell me, what’s the status?”“Apparently Mr Zachary has evidence portraying you as the killer of his assistant. A voice recording where you were talking about the body and also a picture of you near the body before it was taken to the crematorium as per your request”I can’t help but scoff, Zachary is as sly as a fox, I should really give him that.“The police are working on analyzing the voice recording to know if you actually said it but ideally, an arrest warrant was put out for you and that’s why I called”“Do you think I killed her?”“Of course not sir” he gives an awkward laugh, “I don’t believe that sir, it’s just the situation right now”“I will cooperate with the investigations as long as you wa
