“Excuse you?” Samuel Fury asked the cop.“You are to come with us for questioning right away,” he said and brought out a warrant. “This is from the state head,” he added.Quinton came out when she heard the voice of the cops, but she only stood by the door, watching and listening in fear. “Samuel, what is going on?” Linda asked, worried and confused.“I don’t know yet,” Samuel answered absentmindedly, because he was not even paying attention to anyone.Anyone at all would have asked that question and Samuel would have given the same answer regardless. Instead, Samuel was thinking about something else completely. He was stunned, no doubt, because this would be the first time in his entire existence that he was being arrested. It had never happened to Samuel before. But yet again, Ciara Summers had managed to drag him into her life of criminality.“This is not right!” Linda barked, facing the cops. She wanted to stand up for Samuel; this could be a chance to win Samuel over. “Samuel Fu

“Hello? Quinton?” Ciara called out over the phone, but after a thud, the line went silent, until it eventually disconnected.“What could be wrong?” Ciara asked herself. She became worried and frantic, and she knew deep inside that something was off. Did Samuel walk in on her? What was going on? Quinton did not get to tell Ciara anything before the line disconnected, and Ciara could not call her back, because doing so might implicate her.“Damn,” Ciara said. She absolutely hated being in this situation where she was helpless and hopeless. Ciara looked around her; she was still parked in the words, eating canned foods and using the car to power her phone.Ciara covered her face with her palms and sobbed regrettably. She hated how her life had become.“Gosh, what is wrong with me?” Ciara asked herself amidst sobbing. “How long am I going to live as a fugitive?”She had absolutely nowhere to go; not back to Samuel Fury or even anywhere near the city, not back to the cabin because of Mart

Ciara waited for Samuel to say something after what she said to him. She smiled cynically, knowing that she had made Samuel stupefied.“Hello?” Ciara called when the silence was stretching for too long. She was considering her battery capacity and time.“Did you hear me?” Ciara asked, looking at the screen of the phone just to be certain that the call was still connected.“What do you want?” Samuel’s gruff voice boomed over the phone.Ciara tried to steady her beating heart. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she hadn’t seen Samuel for a while now, but hearing his voice just unnerved her, but it would be unwise to act the way she was feeling. Ciara knew that Samuel was smart as hell, and he would know that she was fidgety from miles afar if she wasn’t careful. Ciara was also conscious of the fact that Samuel had also tried to trick her into returning to the city. She knew it was a ploy to get a hold of her, and definitely hand her to the authorities, so she knew better than to thin

“What are you doing here?” Samuel asked Linda as he reached for the shirt he had already tossed away when he got into the room.It was late, and he had completely forgotten that he left Linda in the house when he followed the cops to the station. “I was waiting for you,” Linda said as she entered the bedroom with permission from Samuel. She was wearing a light see-through lingerie, which made it easy for Samuel to see her lacy thong and bra. Samuel looked at her, but he was not turned on at all; even a stripper could turn him on, but somehow, Linda had never turned him on in any way, no matter how hard she tried.“Why?” Samuel asked harshly.Linda flinched at the tone Samuel was using to speak to her, but she regained her composure quickly, determined to see this through. “I was worried, that is why,” Linda responded. Samuel buttoned up his shirt, angry that he had been stopped from undressing and getting the rest that he deserved. It had been a hectic evening, and still, he had to

Ciara waited for Samuel’s call patiently until it was getting very dark. She knew that she shouldn’t rely on him, because after he agreed, they hadn’t spoken since then, but somehow, she just believed that they had a deal.Other than that, she had nowhere else to go.She was getting hungrier and thirstier by the day, and Samuel was the only hope she had now. Her hope for him was so strong that she was not even scared that he would go against their plans and hand her over to the authorities. Also, Ciara remembered what Quinton told her about the plans of Samuel, but somehow, she believed that she could work her way around Samuel.Samuel Fury she could handle, but certainly not the authorities. It was even by sheer luck that she had escaped the cop that night. Then Ciara’s phone rang, jolting her out of her thoughts. It was Samuel, the long awaited call.“Hey,” Ciara said breathlessly.“My penthouse,” Samuel said the instant the phone connected.“What?” Ciara asked, confused. Her mind w
