Semua Bab Shifted Fate: Bab 521 - Bab 530

I walked into my father’s office to find him surrounded by the other alphas. “Daddy?”He smiled as he stood. “Baby girl, you-” He stopped dead in his tracks as his eyes fell on my neck. Rowan came in and my father’s eyes snapped to him. “Gavin.” Rowan started. “I-”Everyone quieted their conversations, and tuned in to the tension between the two males currently glaring at each other. “You two mated?” His voice was soft and my father was never quiet.I stepped in front of Rowan, and my father’s eyes snapped to me. I opened my mouth but Rowan pulled me back against his chest and then stepped in front of me. “Not now Rabbit. This is between your father and me.” Rowan stood straighter. “Yes.”There was a soft growl. I leaned around Rowan’s side so I could glare at my dad. “Is this what you want, Amy?” My father’s eyes connected to mine, and I could see he was warring with something.I nodded. “He’s my second chance mate, daddy.” I turned to look at Rowan’s face. “Honestly, I think he was

We worked our way down the cliff face far enough away from the cliffs that no one would see us, and then we worked our way back towards the caves. “Nix.” Erubus called from behind us. Nix pushed forward to answer him. “Yes?”He watched us for a second. “Was Amy up front?” He sounded confused.“She was.” Nox agreed. “I love Cass, and I will do anything to keep her safe, but Amy in charge gives us easier access to our magic.” Nix turned fully back to face him. “Why?”He stared for a second before he nodded. “I am just trying to figure out everything. With the three of you, I want to be able to tell you all apart.”Nix stepped over to him and ran her side down his. “Does that matter to you?” He nodded. “Why?”“Because I love you, and I want to know everything I can about my mates. All three of you.” Megan froze as Erubus nipped my neck as he started back into the trees. What’s wrong? I turned my focus to Megan for a second. He wants to get to know me? She sounded confused.I furrowed my

“But why would it matter?” I cried. “She had so many other ways to help, she didn't have to do this.” I shook my head. I just didn't understand.Greyson looked up at me with a sad smile. “You know what I heard for the last four years? Every day when Cass was struggling, she would always say that she wanted to be more like you. ‘I have to be like Amy’.” He shook his head. “I tried to explain that she didn't have to be like you because I loved her as she was, but she kept saying that she had to be like you because she wanted to be someone that she could look up to. Someone that our pups would look up to and the only person that she ever looked up to you was you.”Rowan clutched me tighter to his chest as he felt my body trembling against his. “No.” I fought back against Greyson's words. “I'm not someone to look up to.”“Come on, Amy. You're an alpha, you're an amazing person and have always stuck up for Cass. She absolutely loves you. You're her best friend. Of course she wanted to be l

I looked down at my hands, still covered in blood. “I didn’t touch the other body. I was focused on Cass.” I looked at Rowan. “Did you?”He frowned. “I was going to, but then something happened and I just smelled death, and listened for a heartbeat.”“What happened?” My dad prodded.“Nothing…” Rowan frowned. My dad chuckled. “Something felt off, because something was off. The ‘body’ was probably Aurora still alive, and using magic to confuse you.” Rowan growled, but my father patted his shoulder. “Don’t get upset. The bitch is good at what she does.” He turned back to his office. “Get cleaned up and come back to my office.”“Why?” I called out. I wanted to stay here, just in case Cass changed her mind about wanting someone with her.“Because I have an idea. And it might be good enough to stop the war from even happening.” That caught everyone’s attention. “Tell us.” Rowan stepped closer, but my dad waved his hand. “I’ll mull it over until you two get cleaned up.” He wrinkled his no

I forced myself to shiver as the command barely touched my toes. She snarled at me as I stood rooted in my spot. “Didn’t you hear me, Omega?” She pushed herself up off the chair and growled. She was pulling her strength to her as she hobbled up to me. “Go find the Luna and convince her to walk Shannon down the aisle, or kill yourself. There is no in between.” I heard Nix and Megan growl, but I held it all in. “Yes, Meg.” I bowed, even though she wasn’t rankled because Shannon demanded it of the omegas. I turned and left her there, on her bad leg, and stumbled towards the stairs. Meg snickered, but she missed the smirk I had on my face as I hit the landing. These people were too easy to fool. This stupid mask, and a fake scent, and they forget what you look like. It’s because they never thought to actually look at people they think are below them. Even if they are looking at your face, you are an omega, below them in every way. Nix snorted. They never understood the truth here. Megan
