Lahat ng Kabanata ng Awakening The Sliver Wolf : Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

I had been given thirty minutes to go shower and change out of my bloody clothes. Thirty minutes was done and I was now standing with Lilith, Joseph, Selena, Vera, and Lucian—the guy Joseph left the party with. He seems like the quiet kind. Only spoke when spoken to and said just a few words in response. He was the total opposite to Joseph. The room buzzed with anticipation as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting warm, golden light through the tall windows. Joseph stood at the front, his voice carrying over the excited chatter of the group. "Alright, everyone! Welcome to the scavenger hunt! This isn’t just a game; it’s a… while it's just a game. You’ll be working together to find a list of items hidden throughout the pack house. Remember, some items may require teamwork or clever thinking to uncover. Ready?" "He sounds old," said Lilith, crossing her arms. The girls giggled and Joseph just rolled his eyes. "We'll be divided into two groups," he continued. "Ravenna, Lucian

I didn't have any weapons with me save for just a butter knife, but I picked it regardless as I walked to the door. If the knife didn't work out I would use my teeth and fingers, but I wouldn't go down without a fight.Common sense screamed at me to stay away from the door, to call for help. But common sense wasn't my strong suit. Lila, with her holier-than-thou attitude, had a way of reminding me of that. I looked down and the shadow was still there. What were they waiting for? Who could they be? From the shadow I could see it was only one person. I could take out one person. I placed my hand on the door knob and took a deep breath, preparing myself. I swinged open the door, and I lunged forward, knife poised, ready to strike. But then I saw who it was, and my attack faltered. I stumbled, losing my balance in my sudden halt, and braced for the inevitable fall. But it never came. Strong arms caught me before I hit the ground. Rowan held me before I could fall, his arms wrapped

"Lilith, no!" I shouted for her to come back but she was already charging towards the gigantic figure at the center of the field, who was cutting down people as though they were sheeps. Goddess, he was huge. I lunged towards Lilith, desperate to pull her away from that man. There was no chance we could stand against him, let alone Lilith alone. But a wall of wolves and humans blocked my path, trapping me in a desperate helplessness. The more I kill, the more they keep coming. "You monster!" I heard Lilith shout as she got close to Darius who didn't even look in her direction. Yes, that's good. Ignore her. "Rowan! Joseph!" I shouted, trying to see if I could get their attention. I haven't gotten any luck with my own battle and Lilith was getting close to Darius. I was thrown off my feet, tumbling forward. I instinctively braced myself, but the impact still sent me sprawling face-first onto the cold earth. I tried t

It was dark in the cell, so I couldn't see Darius face where I sat. I stood up slowly and made my way to the front, all the while I felt his eyes on me and I wanted to crawl out of my skin. I stopped a few feets away from the door and what I saw made my breath hitch. His black hair, thick and glossy, cascaded in waves past his shoulders, framing a face that was both striking and enigmatic. His nose, perfectly straight and sculpted, added to the sharp angles of his features. A smirk played on his lips. But it wasn't his sculpted features that made me pause, it was his eyes. His eyes were a captivating contradiction, a mesmerizing blend of emerald and sapphire. His left eye, a vibrant green, held a depth that seemed to draw you in, while his right eye, a piercing blue, radiated an intensity that was both alluring and unsettling. Darius was ridiculously good looking. And he's soon tall! Like a human walking

DARIUS POV "What are you doing, Darius?" Lucian asked as soon as we entered my office. "Hmm?" I murmured, pouring a drink. Sipping slowly, I watched Lucian's clenched jaw and fist. I relished his agitation. "What was that about?" he asked through clenched teeth. "A game? That is not a game, you stupid bastard. That is just stupid. You underestimated her once before and you're clearly doing it again. Kill her or don't, but just be done with her." "No," was all I said, and Lucian snapped. He walked to me, snatched my drink, hurling it against the wall. Liquor and shattered glass cascaded down. "You just wasted good liquor," I said. Lucian's chest was rising hard. Oh, he was pissed. "Did you see how she got a rise from you down there?" he asked, his voice trembling with barely contained anger. "You don't get pissed no matter what people say. But you were barely containing your anger back there. She will continue to get a rise out of you, and then one day you'll slip an
