The Alpha king's Rejected Mate のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 11 - チャプター 20

Lily’s POV I could feel the heat from Alex’s anger like a storm ready to break, but he didn’t let it explode not yet, at least. The treasury room was cold, its stone walls echoing our footsteps as we walked inside. The guards scanned the room thoroughly, their eyes tracing every corner and shelf. As Alex's commanding presence loomed over the scene, I couldn’t help but feel small, like I didn’t belong there. But this was no longer the life of a servant. Alex had given me a chance. The silence in the room was suffocating. I held my breath as the guards finished their checks. Nothing had been taken, nothing was out of place. “See? There’s nothing here,” I said, almost in relief, but my voice was shaky. Stella, who had been standing off to the side, finally spoke up, and her words dripped with venom. “How can a lowlife like Lily be allowed to enter the pack’s treasure room? She must’ve stolen something.” I flinched at the insult, but it was Alex who spoke first. His voice was col

Lily's povI woke up in a room so large it felt suffocating. The sheets were soft, the bed far too grand for someone like me. The walls gleamed with intricate carvings, and sunlight streamed through the towering windows. For a moment, I thought I was still dreaming until I caught the faint scent of smoke lingering on my skin. No, this wasn’t a dream. My chest tightened as the memories came flooding back. The fire. The heat that seared my skin. The way it clawed at my lungs, threatening to pull me under. My hands instinctively clenched the blanket, my heart racing. Was this… my uncle’s room? The thought jolted me upright. No, it couldn’t be. He wasn’t here. He couldn’t be. I forced myself to calm down, but the panic clawed its way back. Every flicker of light in the room reminded me of flames, every shadow stretched too long and too dark. I couldn’t stay here. I needed to get away from everyone. From Alex. I didn’t want him to see me like this, broken and scarred. The fir

Alex's POV The tension in the room was suffocating as I laid Lily on the bed, her face pale and her breathing shallow. The image of her collapsing in the forest played over and over in my mind, each replay fueling the fire of my rage. “Call me a doctor,” I barked to the nearest guard, refusing to leave her side. My wolf paced restlessly within me, demanding action. Within minutes, the doctor arrived, his expression a mixture of worry and professionalism. He checked Lily’s vitals, his movements swift yet careful. After what felt like an eternity, he turned to me. “She’s fine,” he said, his voice calm. “She just needs rest. She’s been through a lot, but there’s no lasting harm. She’ll recover with time.” I nodded curtly, barely acknowledging his words. Relief coursed through me, but it was short-lived. As soon as the doctor left, another thought struck Stella. I had left her body in the forest. “Guards!” I called sharply. Two guards rushed into the room, their posture rigid

Alex’s POV I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair. “It’s not an easy story to tell.” “And I’m not an easy person to scare.” I chuckled at that, a bitter laugh. “Fair enough.” The room felt heavier as I prepared to share what I had kept buried for years. “Her name was Seraphina,” I began, my voice steady but cold. “She was my mate or at least, I thought she was.” Lily’s eyes narrowed. “What do you mean by ‘thought’?” I hesitated, the memories rushing back in vivid, painful clarity. “She betrayed me. With my Betta. My best friend.” The shock on her face mirrored the pain I felt recounting the story. “Your Beta?” “Yes,” I said, my tone sharper now. “The man I trusted with my life, the woman who was supposed to be my other half, they destroyed me.” Lily’s expression softened, but there was something in her eyes I couldn’t quite place. “What... what did you do?” “I killed them,” I said, the words heavy and unapologetic. She flinched, and for a moment

Lily's POV The moment Alex returned, his face was a storm of emotions. His shoulders were tense, his jaw clenched, and his eyes burned with a mix of anger and determination. "It was Stella," he said, his voice low but heavy with frustration. "She's playing games with us, Lily. But I swear, I’ll make her pay for what she’s done. She won’t get away with it." Hearing her name sent a chill down my spine. The mention of her alone brought memories of the fire, the suffocating smoke, and the searing fear I felt in my chest. But now, as Alex stood in front of me, his protective presence reassured me. "You shouldn’t have to deal with this alone," I said softly, my voice trembling despite my effort to stay strong. Alex stepped closer, his piercing eyes locking onto mine. "I’m not letting her hurt you again, Lily. Whatever it takes, I’ll protect you." His words struck a chord deep within me, unraveling the walls I had worked so hard to build. I had tried to keep my past buried, hidden
