CHAPTER 21- Unsettling Thoughts

Denise finally arrived home after a fifteen-minute ride, yet, she couldn't erase the lingering thoughts of the waiter she'd encountered at William's Inaugural Party. Despite the wrinkles etched around his eyes and his altered physique, he looked exactly like Morgan. However, the man said his name was Aron. She shook her head wanting to set aside those unsettling thoughts. If that man was indeed Morgan, it had nothing to do with her. Eight years had passed since she buried her painful past. She was no longer Lilian Grey, the lowly Omega of the Blue Moon Pack but Denise Wilson, the successful CEO of Wilson's Group. It was already ten in the evening and she knew her parents were already asleep except for her son Liam. Without bothering to change out of her clothes, she rushed upstairs to her son's bedroom. As Denise stepped inside, her eight-year-old son, Liam, bounded towards her, his beaming smile instantly melting away the years of burdens she carried. Liam was her anchor, the reason

CHAPTER 22- Eagerness

Wanting to find out the truth, Denise looked for a private investigator to delve into Aron's background. She was sure that the man was connected to both Morgan and the Blue Moon Pack, perhaps, one of his beta, she thought. Although there was a familiarity with his scent, still it was hard for her to believe that it was Morgan. It was impossible for a powerful Alpha to leave his pack just to be here in Silverstone. They just resembled each other and nothing more than that."Hey, are you okay?" William asked, his voice filled with sincerity and concern."Yes, I'm fine, William," she smiled, focusing on the business proposals laid out before them. But no matter how much she wanted to set aside the thought about Aron, the more it lingered in her mind. She just hoped his private investigator would not take too long to provide her with the information she needed to know."Oh, it's almost four, it's time to pick up my son at school," Denise said as she stood up and grabbed her pouch. "I'll go

CHAPTER 23- No Matter What

After that Inaugural Party, Aron kept thinking of that woman, whom they called Denise. He could not understand the strange feeling that surged through him when he looked into her eyes. It seemed like he had known her in the past. Her scent, her eyes, and her gestures were familiar to him but he could not remember anything. He could not quite explain why his heart raced when their eyes met. And when he met her son at school, he felt inexplicable joy that he wanted to hug the child."You seem so bothered, honey," his wife Laura spoke while hugging his back. "What are you thinking, hmm?""Nothing honey," he lied. Of course, he could not tell his wife about the strange feelings he had for Denise. He could not bear to hurt the woman, who had only shown him love and care."Let's get back to sleep, honey," he said, gently guiding her head onto his arm. After some time, Laura had already fallen asleep while he was still wide awake. Aron looked at his wife, his gaze drawn to her. So many ques

CHAPTER 24- On the Verge of Danger

Denise ultimately resolved to push Aron out of her thoughts. Everything was just a coincidence and dwelling on a married man was not something she wanted to entertain. To distract herself, she threw herself into her work in the office, devoting her focus to her business. As the CEO of a large corporation, Denise usually went home late at night, sometimes until ten or eleven. This was the reason why William and her parents had insisted on hiring bodyguards for her safety. Although she did not like the idea of having them, she had to obey her parents for their peace of mind. After finishing her review of a business proposal from a client, she gathered her belongings, preparing to leave the office. Her bodyguards were waiting outside and as soon as she stepped out of the office, they followed her, keeping a discreet distance. As soon as she and her bodyguards were settled inside the car, Mr. Robert, her driver started the engine and left the place. Denise called Liam to check on him, but

CHAPTER 25- Closer to Something

A few days passed after the incident, yet Denise couldn’t shake the uneasiness that clung to her. The criminals responsible for the attack were behind bars, and even the person orchestrating the incident had been apprehended. By all accounts, she should feel safe now. But something else gnawed at the edges of her mind—Aron. Or, more specifically, his true identity. She could not help but think how he had appeared that night, seemingly drawn to her distress and the remarkable strength and precision he had displayed in her defense. It wasn’t just his actions. It was the look in his eyes, the way they burned with something primal, something deeply protective. It was as though he had known her long before that night, yet she was certain they had never met. Or had they? These questions consumed her, keeping her awake at night and distracted during the day. As she sat by her office desk, staring blankly at the window, her phone buzzed, pulling her from her spiraling thoughts. She hurriedly

CHAPTER 26- Memory Return

Days had passed since Aron saved Denise, and he still couldn't shake the incident from his mind. He did not know he possessed that kind of strength and sent those criminals sprawling with a single blow. With this thought, he began to question his true identity. He couldn't remember anything, not even his name. Only his wife Laura told him he was Aron, her husband. And every time he tried to think about his origins, he was overcome by a severe headache. It was like a wall blocking his memories. He tried to set aside the unsettling thoughts and focused on his work at the luxury hotel especially that there were plenty of customers coming into the restaurant so he was certain he would be working overtime tonight.Until his gaze focused on the man, who just entered the restaurant. He was dressed in expensive suits, but he looked suspicious. His eyes were scanning the area as if he was searching for something. Aron pretended to be busy so another waiter approached the man to take his order.

CHAPTER 27- Excitement

It all came back to him. He was Morgan Garren, the former Alpha of the Bluemoon Pack, unjustly stripped of his leadership. Accused of treason, he was cast into the dungeon and left to rot with no food and no water. The guards beat him mercilessly, day after day. Then, Declan, his loyal beta, saved him. Declan had given him a powerful herbal tea that would stop his breathing for hours. When everyone thought he was dead, he was buried on the ground, but Declan dug him up and took him away. He traveled far, sailing across the ocean until a massive wave struck his boat. He vanished without a trace. The next time he awoke, he was in a hospital bed, with no memory of his past, even his own name. Morgan was in the midst of his thoughts when his cellphone rang. It was his wife, Laura."Honey, are you on your way now?" she asked, her voice filled with concern."Uhm, yes...I'm on my way," he stammered. For now, it was better to keep this a secret. Laura had been a good wife to him and Jenny—

CHAPTER 28- The Revelation

Morgan continued working at the hotel, keeping his real identity a secret to everybody. For now, he had no plan of returning to the Bluemoon Pack. He believed that the Moon Goddess had brought him here for Lilian. It was their destiny to meet again after eight long years to give him a chance to correct his mistakes from the past. One of the waiters tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Hey, Aron, time to serve our guests." Aron nodded and followed him while they set the food platters for the function hall. His heart started to thrill with excitement at the thought of seeing Lilian once more.As soon as he entered the function hall, his eyes searched for Lilian. His heart raced as soon as he saw her, looking gorgeous in her evening dress. He wanted to pull her into his arms and tell her how much he missed her. He couldn't bear anymore the longing of his heart and decided to tell her his true identity tonight.Meanwhile, Denise felt uneasy. Her heart was beating fast, just at the sight

CHAPTER 29- Concern and Anxiety

Morgan found out that the real Aron Smith had died eight years ago. Laura, desperate to have someone to be considered Jenny's father, had taken advantage of his amnesia and claimed him as her husband. Now that his memory had returned, he needed to tell her the truth. Though he knew it would be difficult for her, he couldn't keep living a life with a different identity. He sat down one evening upon his return from work to have a private chat with Laura." Hon, is there something wrong? You seem uneasy," Laura asked, her eyes fixed on him.Morgan cleared his throat. "Hmm. I have something very important to tell you. I hope you'll open your mind to understand the situation.""What is it?" she asked, furrowing her brows in confusion."Laura, I'm not your husband. You know that, don't you?" He paused for a while and looked at her."Laura, my memory has returned. I know who I am. I'm sorry, but I am not the real Aron. I am not your husband. My name is Morgan Garren from the Balkan Peninsula.

CHAPTER 30- Disguisement

Denise was still anxious. She paced in her room, waiting for her private investigator to call her, but he was still out of reach. She was in the terrifying thought that her mother, Aurora, might be in grave danger. Finally, Denise decided to go to the Balkans. She told her adoptive parents she was going to a business meeting and would be back in two days. She couldn't tell them about her real plan, because they still didn't know her true identity. She only told them before that she was an orphan and that Aurora took care of her. "Mom, you'll be gone for two days?" Liam's face was in a flat grimace, and he pouted his lips as he clutched his car toy tighter. Denise knelt down in front of him, feeling guilty of her white lies. "Yes, son, I'm sorry. Mom needs to attend this important meeting for work. It's just for two days, so let your Granny take care of you for a while, okay?" she said in assurance. Liam just nodded, but Denise knew her son wasn't happy. However, she had to do t
