Sapphires POV.A sudden knock was heard on the door, making my heart drop into the pit of my stomach due to all the thrilling and shocking experience I had gone through today. My eyes darts to the door and back to Lisa who was already changing out of her clothes and rushing into the bathroom for a quick wash up."I am coming! Give me five minutes, Mr. Adams," I yelled, guessing that it was definitely him who was at the door."Okay, ma'am. I will be back soon," he responded and I heard his footsteps go into the distance as he left.minutes later we were done showering and dressing up and the sun had risen when the knock on the door was heard again and I went to get it.Butler Adams stood outside my room with his head bowed. "Good morning ma'am. I hope you girls had a beautiful rest last night." He greeted but I knew I couldn't tell him what happened to us the previous night."Yes, we did. And I hope you did too," I smiled while he nodded subtly."Yes, it was. I came to inform you t

Aleric Dolce POV."We can't be doing this. This is wrong," I said, opening the door that led out of Sapphire's room, leaving in a hurry to get away from her. The feeling of guilt and restlessness gnawing on me as I struggled hard to resist her intoxicating scent that made me loose control of myself even though I was able to stop myself from letting my fangs out and marking her but I failed to resist the sexual urge I had.She was so pure and innocent that a simple habit of hers was able to turn me on by the way she gazed into my eyes while biting hard on her lower plump lips that looked so soft and succulent.I had almost let loose of the guard I had spent so many years to build around myself if I hadn't remembered the promise I made to my parents when I last went to the Packhouse. Just when I was about to leave, Sapphire's confession stopped me. "It is, but I am not complaining, am I?" She asked. Without turning to her, I answered coldly as I backed her. "You aren't, but we are j

Sapphire's POV.I felt like I was suffocating as Aleric's words cut deep. "No, you can't mean that," I whispered, my voice trembling. "You love me. You have to. I even got us a locket. See?" I showed him the silver heart shaped locket I hid in my palm as I pried my palm open but Aleric's expression remained cold."I don't love you, Sapphire," he groaned, his grip on his motorcycle's throttle tightening. "I don't love you and you need to get those fantasies out of your head. It's all an illusion you portrayed in your head. Everything I did for you was out of kindness and not love. So you better accept that simple truth and move on with your life without me being there to save your ass every time." Aleric said.I watched him put on his helmet and sped off, leaving me engulfed in dust and smoke. I stood there, staring into the distance as he vanished from my vision, my hand subconsciously shaking as I held the locket In my palm. A tear rolled down my cheek as I stood alone, the weight o

Sapphire's POV.He continued, his voice full of pride, “My son has far exceeded my expectations, and I am honored to bring to the stage the new Alpha King of our Pack, who will be getting engaged today to the most beautiful young lady, the Alpha's daughter of the Night Crawlers Pack, and my son’s future wife—Lady Marinette!” The spotlight shifted to a couple making their way onto the stage, their arms wrapped around each other in an intimate, almost romantic embrace. There they were: Lady Marinette and the Alpha King—Aleric. I stood frozen, unable to process what was happening.'Aleric was the current Alpha of the Pack? And he was about to get engaged to Lady Marinette?' My mind raced, the shock sinking deep into my bones. I couldn’t make sense of it.'Why didn't he tell me?' The thought was like a jolt. 'Why didn’t he tell me he was from the Royal Family and would one day lead the Pack? Why didn’t he tell me the truth about who he was?' The realization hit me like a tidal wave, and b

Sapphire's POV.I ran back into the ballroom where I sighted Aunt Karissa's gaze scanning worriedly around the place. She looked disturbed. The moment her gaze met mine, a look of relief washed over her features as she sprinted up to me. She grabbed my arms. "Where have you been, Phire? I thought you said you wanted to be in the ballroom to watch the engagement ceremony, so why did you go off?" She scolded and my gaze dropped to my feet."I am sorry, Aunt," I muttered. "I felt the need to get some ventilation because I was suffocating in here. That's why I had to go into the garden," I whispered, unable to look into her eyes because half of what I said was a lie.It was a truth that I went to the garden for some fresh air because I was suffocating but it wasn't really due to lack of air, it was because I felt my heart breaking into pieces once again and I couldn't watch Aleric getting engaged to someone else after everything we had together, it felt so fucking unbearable to watch so
