Alora's POVAs the next series of gunshots echoed, Dante held me down with him, shielding my body as footsteps pounded the floor, men running and screaming. My heart thumped with each shot, tears filling my eyes quickly.This is what I had been afraid of ever since, that one of these days something like this would happen.
