Lahat ng Kabanata ng Trapped by the cold billionaire: Kabanata 51 - Kabanata 60

Eliana Brown~•~I took a step back at William’s answer. It didn’t prove anything but it meant he pretended like he didn’t know me when he already did.I didn’t want to think William was capable of what that man said. I figured he didn’t have any reason to do that. I was even scared to ask more questions because, for some reason, I knew he was going to tell the truth.“When?” I asked instead.“What?”“When did you know me? How do you know me?”William bit down on his bottom lip and released it before speaking. “I saw you at your workplace more than a year ago. I went into the store you were working at and you were checking items out.”I closed my eyes briefly. I was going to be sick. He had known me for that long!? Why then did he act like he hadn’t seen me before? Was that why he was so nice to me? Was it to make up for him ripping my job away from me?Throughout the flight, I’d been wondering how I would bring up the topic to William. Thankfully, he realized that something was wrong

Eliana Brown~•~“So you’re saying he made your life miserable so you’d rely on him?”I winced. “When you put it like that…”“That’s exactly what he did. Don’t try to sugarcoat it.” Catherine scolded me.I sighed. Last night, I’d been so hooked on how violated I felt that I didn’t stop to think about why he did what he did. He helped me every step of the way and gave me a home, a job, and even a man. He made me fully depend on him and for some reason, that was even sicker.Despite having his cold days, William had been the perfect gentleman throughout the months I’d known him. I would never have thought he was capable of what he did. He was so manipulative. He made careful plans and lured me into his trap. To think that most things that happened in my life these past few months were out of his will was crazy.“But then again, it’s kind of hot. He went through all that trouble to get with you.”I made a face at Catherine. “He didn’t have to do all that. He could have just asked me out

Eliana Brown~•~William had been under fire for the past week because of his supposed involvement with several women. It served him right but I felt bad for him, especially because someone had started spreading rumors about his company. They weren’t just attacking his character, but his hard work too, but that didn’t mean I was going to let him in my life because of pity.William had the power to break down my walls with just one look. I had underestimated just how much I liked the man. Seeing him again the previous day totally rattled me and if I spoke with him, I was certain I would forgive him immediately.Thinking back, he didn’t actually hurt me. He helped me get out of uncomfortable situations and made my life better but the way he went about it scared me. It showed me just how much he could control my life without my knowledge. Sure I had a better home and job because of him, but I just couldn’t believe he was that calculating. Then again, he was a businessman. He was a billio

William Caddel~•~As soon as I entered my grandfather’s room, he looked the other way.I sucked on my teeth but the subtle dismissal didn't stop me from walking toward his bed. He had been the one to summon me anyway. I wouldn't leave without meeting him.I dragged out a chair and sat beside his bed. That was when he faced me. “Did I ask you to sit?”I bit down on my bottom lip and stood up. “My bad.”His teeth clenched at my words but he was quick to shake his head, not having the patience to deal with me. “What is going on with your wife? Why did she move out? Did you do something stupid? Did she leave because you announced your marriage in public?” He passed and thought for a second. “No, she definitely left before that. You did that as a way to bring her back to you, didn't you?”I stayed silent.“Why did you announce it? I thought it was supposed to be a secret?”“There was a new rumor each day about a different woman. I had to put an end to it or it would ultimately affect my

William Caddel~•~“Are you following me upstairs?” I asked when Duke followed me into the elevator. When he entered the apartment complex with me, he had insisted he just wanted to see me off but he stayed rooted in place as I swiped my keycard against the elevator and it started moving.“It's late at night. I thought it would be best for me to crash here.”I sucked on my teeth. “And why would that be?”“You're lonely anyway and you have had a hard time sleeping since your wife left you.”I let out a sigh. He got dramatic sometimes and made a big deal out of nothing. “What makes you say that?” Sure I was sleeping less and less each day but I didn't mention it to anyone, not even George.“Come on, Will. I'm your secretary and your friend. Of course, I'd notice these things.” He responded confidently. Then again, it was my fault for giving him too much access to my life.I kissed my teeth but didn't respond to him. His stupid ass thought that sleeping over would make me sleep better. H
