Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Mafia's Nanny : Kabanata 341 - Kabanata 350

Rosa’s POV I hated this.Hated that everything was starting to feel familiar again. The way Allesio looked at me like I was the only thing in the room that mattered. The way his voice softened when he spoke to me, even when I was pushing him away. The way my body still reacted when he got too close, like it hadn’t gotten the memo that he wasn’t safe anymore. It was dangerous. And yet, here I was. Unable to stop remembering things I had no business remembering. The way he used to smirk when I called him out on his arrogance. The way he used to pull me into his arms after completely pissing me off, grinning like it was all part of his master plan. But I also remembered the gut-wrenching pain of finding out what he had done. The betrayal. The humiliation.I sighed, rubbing my temples as I sat in Emilia’s living room later. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”Emilia sipped her tea, watching me with an annoyingly calm expression. “Nothing’s wrong with you.”I let out a humorless laug

Rosa’s POV I should have known better than to walk through this part of town. The streets were quieter here, the air smelled like fresh bread from the little bakery on the corner, and the cobblestone paths still had the same cracks from years ago. It was the kind of place that made memories creep up on you when you least expected it.And, apparently, it was also the kind of place where fate decided to test me.Because standing just a few feet away, in front of a florist’s shop, was him.Allesio.For a split second, I considered turning around and speed-walking in the other direction. Maybe pretending I didn’t see him. Maybe pretending he didn’t exist at all.But of course, life wasn’t that kind.Because just as I shifted on my heel, ready to flee, his head lifted. Our eyes met.And just like that, I was trapped. He straightened, his entire posture tensing like he was afraid one wrong move would scare me away. His hair was messier than usual, like he’d been running his hands throu

Rosa’s POV“This is a bad idea.”“It’s a festival, Rosa, not a hostage situation.”“Same thing.”Allesio huffed a laugh beside me, hands in his pockets as we strolled toward the town square, now glowing with colorful string lights. The air smelled like fried dough and caramel, and the distant sound of live music drifted over the crowd.I wasn’t supposed to be here.I shouldn’t be here. But somehow, he had convinced me.Again.It started with one casual suggestion over breakfast: “You should come to the festival tonight. Just for a little while.”I had rolled my eyes and dismissed him immediately. Then he started with his persuasive tactics—which, in his case, mostly involved being annoyingly persistent and incredibly hard to say no to.And now?Now I was standing in the middle of town, surrounded by couples, families, and kids running around with glow sticks, walking beside the man I swore I wouldn’t let back in.I sighed, folding my arms. “If I see one clown, I’m leaving.”Allesi

Rosa’s POVI spent the whole morning avoiding my own thoughts.I reorganized my entire closet. Twice.I cleaned out the fridge, threw away perfectly good leftovers just to do something.I even considered calling my mother—that’s how desperate I was.But no matter what I did, my mind kept circling back to him.To yesterday. To the way he had looked at me in the market, like I was still his, like he still saw me the way he used to.To the way my heart had betrayed me, skipping a beat when he said he’d wait. And worst of all—to the fact that I had agreed to see him again.Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.I needed to talk to someone before I drove myself insane. And there was only one person who would give me an honest answer. And that’s how I found myself in front of Emilia’s apartment, the one she always went to when she didn’t want to be around Mafia politics.Emilia opened the door with Francesca on her hip, her chubby arms wrapped around her mother’s neck like a tiny, adorable koala.“He

Rosa’s POV For a moment, I let myself be.The warmth of the sun. The hum of the wind through the trees. The way Alessio looked at me, like he still saw something worth fighting for.I had spent so long convincing myself I was immune to him now. That no matter what he did, no matter how much he proved he’d changed, I wouldn’t fall for it.And yet…I was here. Again.Letting my guard slip, inch by inch.Letting him matter again. Then, just as quickly, the past came crashing down on me.A memory. Sharp, unrelenting.“You’re the only person I trust,” I had told him once. And he had kissed me, murmuring against my lips, “I will never betray you.”Liar.The old wound cracked open, raw and stinging.I pulled back before I even realized it, my body reacting before my mind could catch up.Alessio noticed immediately. His easy expression hardened into something cautious. “Rosa.”I shook my head, getting to my feet. “I should go.”His brows furrowed. “What? Why?”“This—” I gestured around m
