Semua Bab Her Alpha Ex-Husband's Regret : Bab 31 - Bab 40

Author’s POV.Sarah paced back and forth in her room, her thoughts racing. The night Nathan had returned, she had ignored him and stayed in her room instead as she wasn’t ready to see a man who didn’t seem her worthy of his love. She wanted to first of all get all her bearings straight before doing anything.Nathan’s feelings for Lunaria hadn’t changed—not one bit. This was annoying as shouldn’t he have moved on from that woman already? She had disappeared from their lives and it has been a blessing but now… now she was back.Sarah had seen it in the way nathan spoke about her, the way his eyes softened when her name came up. Even after all these years, after everything Sarah had done to ensure she was the one by his side, Lunaria was still in his heart.Sarah clenched her fists. She had fought too hard and sacrificed too much to lose Nathan now. She had hoped that the Lycan King’s plan to marry Lunaria to another man would solve everything, but deep down, she knew Nathan wouldn’t

Nathans POV.It took a while for my brain to process what the guard had just said as I stared at him with a blank expression on my face. Turning slowly in my direction, Gideon raised his brow, expecting me to say a word about the new piece of information we had just been fed with. “Are you certain of your claim?” I asked, eliciting a nod from the guard who was still wearing a frightened look. With this confirmation, I left the couch and to ascertain what I had just heard, I began to run down the hallway, trying to keep my thoughts straight but it kept deviating. Getting to the guest room where Lunaria had been ushered in, I stood at the door for a few seconds as I couldn't believe my eyes. The moment she turned around and discovered I was with her, she rose to her feet, flashing me a broad smile which I couldn't help but to return. “Hey!” She said, the smile still neatly stamped on her face.Almost immediately, Sarah and Gideon arrived. They must have been curious as I was to co

Nathan’s POV.I couldn’t let Lunaria go alone to meet the angry crowd. They were furious, desperate for answers about the plague that had been killing our people. I knew how dangerous they could be when emotions ran high.“Lunaria,” I said firmly, “if you’re going, you’re not going alone.”She looked at me with her usual determination. “Nathan, I’ll be fine. They need to see I’m here to help.”But I wondered if she was crazy. These crowds could get very dangerous and I didn’t want anything to happen to her.Not only would her father kill me, I wouldn’t forgive myself for failing to protect her a second time.I would not let that happen.“No,” I said, shaking my head. “You need protection. If something happens, I won’t forgive myself. You came here to help us, is that not so?”“Yes but…”“I will have someone follow you. You will have guards around you all the time to make sure nothing happens to you. Your father is a Lycan. Being an enemy to your father is a suicide mission.”After a b

Lunaria’s POV.I froze, my heart pounding in my chest. My hands shook as I stared at my phone, replaying Mendy’s words over and over in my head. Liam was sick. My little boy needed me. Panic rose in my throat, and I could barely breathe.Nathan stepped closer, his voice calm but firm. “Lunaria, what’s wrong? What happened?”I turned to him, tears welling up in my eyes. “I need to go,” I said.“Wait,” he sighed. “What is it?” I asked in frustration as he got close to me.“What is going on?”“It isn’t your business. I just need to get out of here.”I was clearly only concerned about my son. This man and his pack right now could burn for all I cared. I didn’t care about finding whatever truth was there or finding whatever answer that was out there. I just wanted to save Liam. I wanted Liam to be safe.My heart hurt from this and I tried my best to stop from breaking down.He placed his hands on my shoulder to calm me and even when I tried fighting him off he smiled and remained calm wh

Nathan's POVWhat was he doing here? — I yelled in my head, glaring at him with my hands clenched by my side. “We asked him to wait in the lobby… he is heading to the waiting room right now.” The receptionist said in a breath. Shifting his attention from the receptionist to me, he said, “You should have done that the moment she asked you to.” Nodding behind him, he said, “I intentionally stayed back wondering what was going on here.” He added, causing me to roll my eyes at him. “What do you want? I might be able to help you.” He shrugged and with a deep frown etched on my face, I imitated his intimidating pose, pushing my hands into my pockets.“Why should I tell you? It's not as if we are close acquaintances to be having this kind of conversation.” I snarled at him. My anger at the moment was not because I was denied entrance by the receptionist, instead, it was his presence. He must have learnt that Lunaria was in the hospital and so he had come to meet with her and Liam. The
