Semua Bab Dead By Dawn: A Mafia one Night Stand: Bab 51 - Bab 60

The meeting with his grandfather dragged on longer than it should have. Dmitri sat stiff-backed in the leather chair, his jaw locked as the old man spoke about legacy, control, and the responsibility of wearing the Don title. It was the same thing he had heard since childhood. No more dragging territory. The title of Don was being forced into his hands whether he wanted it now or not.“Christian is leaving,” his grandfather said. “Returning to the United Kingdom. He has no claim here anymore, Dmitri. The family and city rests on you.”The words should have steadied him. Instead, a strange disquiet curled in his stomach. Christian leaving after two months without warning? It was convenient and suspicious at the same time. The man had fought hard for control and recognition, and now he simply packed his bags and left? No, there was more to it than that. When the meeting ended, Dmitri left the Kalshinkov estate. The late winter wind bit into his coat as he stepped out into the driveway.

7:00amMoscow General Hospital.Today was for a check-up.She recalled her mother’s voice. She’d been ringing it like an alarm all week.Lily’s mom had basically forced her to book an appointment with the doctor but she had refused, deciding to go for a visit herself.Lily could barely hear herself think as the doctor spoke on the same topic from the second…third…she had lost count.“You are undergoing a lot of stress Miss Hills. It is not good for both yourself and the baby. The reports are showing that the health of yourself and the baby is at major risk if you don’t do something about it.”“Yes doctor. I’ve heard you.” She answered but the man pressed on.“The baby is nearly three months and though it hasn’t started showing signs of movement I can reassure you that if you keep going like this you could end up with a defected child in some kind of way. “Lily's gaze snapped away from the hospital door and to the doctor.“What do you mean by a defected child?”She nodded. “A certain

Russia.Dmitri remembered the last time he had stepped on its soil. The things he had to do weren’t a very pleasant memory, but now he had to push the thought behind him. What he needed to do now was clear: find Damien and completely eradicate any information he had that threatened Lily’s safety.Dmitri nodded in approval to Dante. He had instructed him to dig up some info on Lily’s recent living. He knew she had resumed working as a journalist in the city, but his mind still wasn’t settled. He needed to make sure she was fine. That was all it. Or so he told himself.“First stop,” Dmitri muttered as the car wound through Moscow’s snow-lined streets, “the Kalashnikov Estate.”The name alone made Dante glance sideways. “Your family house?”“Yes,” Dmitri said flatly. “If Damien is stupid enough to linger in Russia, he’ll go where he feels entitled. That house was always his obsession.”Damien, as elder brother, was next of kin after Grandpa Yuri, meaning he was basically the crown of the

The next day like she promised Nadia, Lily was at the office very early. Her mom had wanted her to stay for breakfast but she couldn't. She could only pack a meal bag for Lily in her rush.“I'm sorry about yesterday, I couldn't hold back from informing you immediately.” Nadia apologized as they made their way to a quiet space in the office.“It's alright, I'm glad you did.” Lily replied before urging Nadia to tell her about her findings.“The Kalashnikov Empire had a major acquisition of pharmaceutical organisation in early years before any other Russian mafia clan had dealings with other countries. They had discovered a drug that could cure major ailment at that time. When the Kalashnikov revealed their discovery, there was a slip up made by the major countries of the world. They skipped some health procedures and decided to trust the experiment of their new found saviour.""The Kalashnikov's head being very sly used subsidiary channels to sell the drugs to avoid traces. The first ba

It felt like it had been ages since Dmitri spoke to Lily but it had just been a week. A week after their fight and a week after his two months disappearance. He was the one to blame but he couldn't just leave everything aside and go to her. Not with Damien and everyone fully active. He too wished he could be with her. Something in his mind kept telling him that he was in love with Lily but he wanted to deny it.He couldn’t be in love with her. Who was he trying to convince? His heart or his mind because they were both saying the same thing. That he was in love with Lily.FuckDmitri couldn't have her confusing his brain when he was just notified that Christian was trying to form an alliance with a new clan that was neither under the British, the Russian, nor the American mafia. Were they some kind of universally independent mafia? Then how did they get their power?Could they be like the Prulhitvanc who originated from a country but doesn't associate with other countries?Dmitri had n
