Lucille’s POV“What are you doing?” Lucas repeated as my body whirled to look at him. I gasped in shock and quickly gathered the papers together and sat on them. He frowned, looking straight at the stack of papers and I knew he was already suspicious but it made me sit my bottom even harder on the papers. “What are you doing here?” I asked, with raised brows. “Why didn't you knock?”“Do I have to knock before coming into your room?” Lucas frowned, his suspicious gaze deepening. “Yes, of course. It’s my room.” I nodded immediately. I didn't find it an issue before now but then there would be times I would need some privacy, just like now. But he was intruding. “Alright.” He didn't argue but his eyes didn't leave the papers. “What are those? Who gave you those?”“These…” I pointed at the papers beneath me. “They belong to me.”“Where did you get them?” He asked. “I had them. No one gave them to me.” I frowned, feeling very uneasy. Lucille’s POVThe next morning…I woke up, feeling hopeful for the day but one thing I wanted to do was to see my father. I had to talk to him one last time before I finally decided to see Kent and Martin. After Martin ended the call last night, I vowed not to take up their offer. I decided I was going to speak to my father first. We could deal with Vanessa together. I got out, dressed for the day and I went straight to the dining area where he was supposed to be with Lucas. I took a deep breath, to steady myself. The sad emotions from last night were still inside me but I did well to suppress them.
