The Devil Alpha And I のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

Ava's POVI ran down the staircase, my heart pounding loudly in my chest. The sight of Arthur dangling from the broken rod or falling down the building sent shivers down my spine. “Arthur, hold on,’’ I cried, my voice cracking as I nearly tripped on a loose board.I bumped my belly on the staircase handle, I screamed immediately clutching my belly, I have never felt this frustrated and scared at the same time in my life. Halfway down, Elena appeared, blocking my way. Her eyes were wide, searching my face.“What’s happened?” She asked. “Where is Arthur? What happened to Arthur?” she asked, panic creeping into her voice.“Move,” I barked, shoving past her. “He’s hurt. I need to get to him!”Elena followed immediately, I didn't want her near me but I couldn’t waste time arguing. When I reached the ground, I found Arthur struggling to get on his feet. I saw Oliver too, he was really injured but wasn't really hurt enough to keep him on the ground. Before I could reach Arthur, Oliver’s

AVA'S POV.My mother scoffed loudly, folding her hands under her breasts, her eyes filled with venom. “You will not take my daughter,” she declared. Her piercing gaze moved between the sentinels daring them to defy her. “Ava is not responsible for what happened to Arthur.”The leader of the sentinels, a man with a deep scar running from his temple to his jaw stepped forward. “Ma’am, our orders are clear,” he revealed. “We are to bring her in.”Anna stepped forward. “This is madness,” she said. “Ava is also a victim, she was kidnapped for fucking sake, you have the right to blame her, she was kidnapped in his mansion, don't you have some shame, this is the pack's fault why blame it on her?” She snapped. The sentinel exhaled deeply, his eyes slowly darting to me as we locked eyes. “We don’t question orders,” he said, his voice heavy. “We follow them, I'm sorry ma'am,” he said with a bow. My mother moved in between us. “Who ordered for her arrest?” She demanded. “Lady Eleanor,” they

Ava's POVThe hospital room was quiet except for the steady beeping of machines, the reporters had disappeared and Arthur asked the elders to take Lady Eleanor back to the mansion before she made more trouble. I was still badly injured and Arthur had noticed that, he insisted I stay to be treated here. This hospital was the best hospital around, it belonged to his family. I lay on the bed, feeling weak as I rubbed my belly softly. Arthur sat beside me, his eyes full of worry even though he tried to smile.“You need to rest,” he said, brushing a strand of hair away from my face.I smiled back at him. “I will. But only because you are here with me.”Before I could say more, my mother burst into the room. Her face was a mix of relief, She glanced between Arthur and me. “The doctor said that Ava can go home now,* she blurted out. “Ava isn't going home until she is completely treated Jennifer,” Arthur said, his voice filled with authority. “I am her mother and I know what is best for

Author’s POVElena’s heels were heard clicking in the hallway, dressed in a short skirt and a revealing blouse, a designer bag in one hand and the other holding a phone.A faint smile played on her lips as she read through the messages, then she dialed a number. “I will be there soon, make sure the job is done before I come,” she said, cutting the phone call.A young maid walked up to her, her hands clasped nervously. “Lady Elena,” she said, her voice shaky. “Lady Eleanor has requested your presence.”Elena’s jaw tightened, and she looked up from her phone, irritation flickering in her gaze. “Now?” she asked. The maid nodded. “Yes, my lady. She said it’s urgent.”With a sigh, Elena slipped her phone into her bag. “Fine,” she muttered, walking past the maid. She walked to Lady Eleanor's room, which was a bit far from the place she was going. As soon as she got to the room, the sentinels at the door opened the door for her and slammed the door shut immediately after she walked in. “

Ava's pov.I waited in my room, nervously twisting my blanket’s edge between my fingers. Arthur had been gone for hours, and the silence around me felt suffocating. Each tick of the clock made my anxiety worse as I imagined all the terrible things Oliver might be planning or what Arthur might have discovered at the cliffs. The creak of the door broke my thoughts, and Arthur stepped in, he looked surprised to see me still awake.“Ava, why aren’t you sleeping? It’s late,” he said softly. “I couldn’t,” I replied, sitting up straighter. “I have been waiting for you. Did you find anything? Any sign of Oliver?”Arthur sighed, shutting the door and rubbing his neck. “No, nothing yet. But we are on it.”I frowned, letting out a sigh. “Arthur, my goodness, what will happen now? He would try to attack, "I paused, trying to take deep breaths. “How could anyone even survive that attack, how can anyone survive that, it's too far,” I said with a ragged breath, holding my head. Arthur crossed t
