'When I came to, I was in a warehouse somewhere outside the pack with some goons waiting to harass me. They tied me to the bed and we're ready to ... to.. but thank goodness, Alpha Merrick came and rescued me!'What she narrated got me furious and I knew who was responsible for her experiences but when it got to her rescuer, she spoke his name with so much gentleness that I smiled yet again. She was in love with Alpha Merrick, I decided.hadnt been sure before but I could tell that the feeling was mutual and I couldn't be happier. She deserved it.'Your so called doppelganger is someone I have suspected from the very first that Angela planted', I revealed. 'Her intention may have been to thwart my plans and she succeeded'.'But why would she want to do that when she wanted the Alpha for hers of?' Anna asked, her brows furrowing in thought.'She must have felt that it was better for her

'You are not leaving this godforsaken castle of mine!' he said mimicking her words, his eyes glowing in his fury. 'If you think I am going to stay quiet and allow you leave this place so you can go live with your lover, you are sadly mistaken and if you think I will sign this document, you have been misled. I will not divorce you. You will never be free to remarry your ex husband', he vowed, his nose flaring up.'I have many of these prepared and my lawyer will visit you with another copy but so that you know how decided I am, we shall do this the traditional way', she said, placing her hand on her chest. 'I Iris Sylvester, Merryweather Anderson, reject you, Alpha Sean Anderson of the Golden Moon pack as my mate and Alpha!' she said.Alpha Sean's face registered shock and then he staggered back, clutching his chest, wincing. Iris' POV Since Adrian had sniffed me and claimed my unborn child as his, my heart has been in turmoil. Why did it have to be his? Couldn't it have been someone else's? I wouldn't even mind if the person had been gay. Why was it Adrian's semen of all the semen in the sperm bank, that happened to be injected into me? I wished he hadn't been at the gathering and heard everything. It felt good though the way he had stood up for me back there but if he thought that it changed anything or that my pregnancy is a means for him to get back with me, he was seriously misled. As I walked away, I thought of going home to my parents but I felt they might be disappointed. They had believed that this time my marriage was the real thing. Telling them it had ended in disaster would only break their heart. Also, I didn't want any lecture and that was why instead of calling my family to pick me up or speaking to them through mind link, I changed my mind and decided to stay in a hotel till things cool

As soon as Iris went up to her hotel room, I decided I was not going back to the Conqueror Pack that day. I was going to stay in the hotel to ensure that she was well cared for and protected. I didn't want any harm to befall her, nor my pup. It still felt like a dream. I was going to be a father. I had forfeited the hope of ever being one because I had vowed I was never going to have a other woman but Iris and since she didn't want anything to do with me and had remarried, I was going to remain celibate for the rest of my days. When I got that whiff coming of her, that scent and knew that she was pregnant and with my pup, I couldn't believe it.I tried to find out how this could have come about but I could see Iris was not ready to say anything about it just yet. I was going to wait, there was no rush but I also didn't want her being slandered. Anyone was free to call me names but not my love, Iris. I wanted her name cleared, her reputation untainted. The next morning, I made all the

'I am not going to hide the fact that I want you - humph... desperately. You feel the attraction between us too. Can you not see that our mate bond has been revived, restored?''You are insane!' I said, looking around for a way to escape his close proximity.'What?' he said, mockingly, I thought that was my line. Yours was to say I am not worthy!' he smiled. 'Have you forgotten our last encounter before your marriage to Sean, I told you I was insanely in love with you. Of course, I am insane for you, dear Iris. I have been right from the first moment I saw you there in your mansion, during your eighteenth birthday but I was just too foolish that I allowed a jewel like you slip through my fingers, but never again!' He grabbed both my hands, pinning them on the wall above my head and drew his lips clo
