Lahat ng Kabanata ng Engage To The Wrong Mafia Boss: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

Elizabeth POVThe hot summer air brushed harshly against my face as I opened the heavy iron door.I stepped into the lonely alley along uncompleted building structures."Find Lance” My father's voice rang in my still aching head.Lance was my father's best friend since recruitment. They had gotten into the police force together and the last time I saw him, he was a constable officer. He didn't spare me a glance when I was young and never asked about my family. I guess they were just best friends in the police force.I pulled over my black hoodie and headed straight to the police station, keeping my head low as I walked."Good afternoon officer," I greeted a chubby man in uniform behind the desk chewing a mouthful of Cheetos."Afternoon miss. What can I do for you?" He responded, barely sparing me a glance.I swallowed my saliva hard and "I'm looking for a man named Lance. Officer Lance, he works here." I said with a gulp, almost choking on my words. He turned to me, sizing me up and d

Adam POV“What do you want?” She asked with a smirk.“Nothing. Don't worry,” I said and walked away.Gulping down on my second shot of whiskey, I started to grow impatient waiting for Aaron, my brother's personal psychiatrist.Re-reading the Letter my brother, Richard, had sent me years ago, the task of finding him a suitable wife lingered on my mind. With his mental condition, I had never considered Richard would want a wife. We'd managed to hide his illness from the world for so long and built a unique persona for him, bringing in a third party to the family made me feel uneasy. But maybe he did need a wife, he was dying anyway, continuing his bloodline legally wouldn't be such a bad idea.I put the letter back into the envelope and ordered a third shot."Ugh" Someone bumped into me,knocking the letter out of my hand.My men, watching in the shadows, readied their arms in case she was a threat.Keeping my expression stiffened, I turned to look."Oops,my bad!" She says, bending do

ADAM'S POVRichard was one to get angry quickly. He always wanted to be the Mafia Boss after our father died. He loved power so much and was blinded by the little he was given.'You'll be my second-in-command after Dad dies' He always tells me.One day, when he was 19, Dad caught him making out with one of his mistresses at the back of our house. He was chained in the red room, tortured and kept for days without food. When I tried sneaking in food for him through the window, a guard caught me and reported me to my father. I was chained in the second room, with lesser punishment. But that still didn't change my hatred towards my father.Richard had already resigned to his rate of being an orphan. He never considered the Mafia Boss as our father. On the third day, we were released. Richard swore an oath to protect me against my father.'The doctor is here Boss,' I hear one of my men say.I snapped into consciousness immediately. I look at Richard and see him nod slowly at me. The doctor

ADAM's POVAfter the fake alarm by Richard, due to his mental health, I ordered more men to be stationed around his room. 'Boss, Brotha Patrick and Everton have been relocated to the west wing,' One of my men said.It might have been a fake alarm, but I wasn't ready to lose Richard anytime soon.'Good job, Brotha.' I said genuinely to the man who had served me fiercely.'It's an honour Boss.' He said and attempted to walk away. 'Can I speak freely sir?' He asked when he noticed my raised eyebrows.'What is the issue?' I asked. 'Remember when you said we should do a background check on Elizabeth Hugh?' He asked and my interest was further piqued.'Yes?' I said, urging him to continue.'Well, it seems like Hugh is not her surname after all,' he said.'What? What do you mean by that?' I asked, cocking my head to the side in genuine interest.'Well, we found out that she changed her name, but we can't still figure out what exactly her other name was. I must warn you to take caution, sir,

ADAM'S POV:I had to convince Elizabeth to believe that the sudden stop was due to leg cramps. I didn't want her poking around or asking me questions I couldn't answer.I dropped her off quickly in her room before returning hastly to the playroom. I see someone's imprint on the handle and my defense were up immediately.I enter inside the room and locked it behind me. The toys were scattered and the drawers were in shambles.I knew that if there was one person who had access to this room, it would be Kevin, and it was obvious he left in a great hurry. I smile inwardly as I see the condom pack ripped open. I will have to reprimand him later, but I guess he should enjoy whatever he's doing. The thoughts quickly makes me think of Elizabeth and how etheral she looked today. Maybe I should go a quick check up on her.I wanted to surprise her and quickly open the door without knocking.'What the fuck?' She yelled and quickly made a dash for her clothes. I knew I should stare but her body ca
