Lahat ng Kabanata ng Chasing The Moon: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

EmThe next day Em got up and dressed for school, excited about what the day had in store. She imagined her and Quinn would have a good laugh about that night, and her face planting the ground with her big pot of soup. Then she would thank him for taking care of her. The twins were riding with her to school that day, so she went outside to wait for them. She looked over and noticed that Quinn’s truck was already gone. Oh well, she would see him and thank him once they got to school. A second later the twins popped out of the door and came jogging over across the yard. Suddenly she heard “son of a…”She looked up just in time to see Asher trip over something and go flying through the air, arms flailing, and landing several feet away. She jumped up and ran over to him, as Aspen had stopped to see what happened. “Omg Asher what are you doing!?” His sister yelled at him. “Asher. Are you okay??” Em was saying. Asher stood up and looked at them both incredulously. “Why in

EmQuinn had done this. He had faked the entire thing, being nice to her, caring about her… it was all a big joke to him. He had just done it to get into her house… into her bedroom! And stupid stupid her, she had trusted a boy again. She gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought he had changed. Granted at the time she was a little fuzzy but.. still. Wow. She felt so foolish and embarrassed. And angry. She was very angry, at herself, but also at Quinn. And not even about the sign, yes that did embarrass her and it sucked, but nothing compared to this. The invasion of privacy, the manipulation, all to get dirt on her. She actually thought that Quinn was being a good guy the other night. And she had been planning to thank him! “What’s going on?” Aspen asked her. As they’d stopped moving and were standing in the middle of the hallway. “Tell you in a minute”. Em whispered. They got to the office and waited on Mr. Manley. Aspen went up to tell the secretary what they wer

Em The payback The girls made sure to get to the game after it had already started. They didn’t want to risk anyone seeing them. They got out of the car with all their bags and ran hunched over as quietly as they could, seeing as they were already all laughing, this was quite a task. Quinn’s vehicle was parked about halfway in between the field and the school, perfectly hidden from prying eyes. For once, luck was on their side. It was in a great spot so hopefully no one would see them, and even better, Quinn drove his hummer to the game. He really loved that thing for some reason. For a moment, Emerson felt guilty. But then she remembered that this boy had pretended to help her just to get into her bedroom. On top of that he snooped in her personal belongings…. and used what he found to embarrass her in front of the whole school. AND he made up lies about her.. then threw it in her face. Once she thought of all this, any guilt she had was zapped away. She was only playin

Quinn There was another party that night. This time it was over to an hour south of Andover. Some of the folks from Eugene knew whoever’s house it was and Finley had told them… no she had insisted that they needed to go. Quinn could have cared less. His arms were sore from scrubbing the fucking hummer all day but when Elias said there was supposed to be some new possible fighters at the party, he succumbed and agreed. Finding new fighters was a tricky business. Most of the people around here knew Quinn, and it was getting harder to find people that would agree to get in the ring with him. That’s why he started fighting the Eugene crew…. Even though they were older and more experienced. Finleys dad even sent a few people his way. Her dad knew about what he did and didn’t care, that side of the family was a rough bunch of people. And they were involved in shit that Quinn didn’t even know about. So when the idea of finding some new people to get into the ring with came up, Qu

EmEm had just gotten out of the shower. She had a day full of dance practice at Tush with Sylvia and the rest of the dance team. They never usually practiced on Saturdays, but they had a competition coming up in a few weeks and they had all agreed to give up a few weekend days for some extra practice. She and the girls had planned on going to eat and going to the movies that night. A slow night sounded great to Em. She was tired from dancing all day and her body was sore. There was some new horror movie Mickey was dying to see, so they all agreed. But Em and Sylvia were the most happy for a somewhat chill night. After she had dried her hair and put on a little makeup, she started searching for some clothes. The days we’re getting a little colder here, so she pulled out a sweater dress and some boots. She was finishing up getting ready. She applied her perfume and put on her jewelry. Lastly, she picked up her favorite necklace to wear. Her dad had given it to her the day bef
