Lucien It was useless trying to read the documents in front of me. They kept getting blurry the more I stared into the papers.  I had read the same page five times now, yet not a single word had stuck.  There were a lot of things on my neck, a lot of things to do. Yet, I couldn't commit anything to memory? “Something must be wrong with me. I was not like this before,” I growled in frustration.  I had to give myself a second chance and while I was trying to go through the files, I discovered that the files were not as complete as before.  This only meant one thing, someone else must have laid hands on it.  “Damn it! These people keep testing my patience!”  With a frustrated growl, I shoved the papers aside, sending them scattering across the desk. 

Lucien My phone rang out and I didn't bother to check the caller ID.  I was too deep in work and my hands were so busy with these files. We were doing a lot of sorting of papers to send them out to other packs who were willing to come into an alliance with her.  I had been out here for hours, making sure that everything was going as planned. Nothing had to get missing, no matter what.  Another ring suddenly came in and in annoyance, I wiped my hands on my pants and finally answered.  “What?” I asked in such a way that the person would know that he or she was disturbing me.  “Alpha,” a voice on the other end called out. “This call is from the hospital.” Everything inside me froze.
