She took another bite of her bacon, watching Dan's eyes track the movement of her lips. His gaze was intense, predatory, and it made her pulse quicken. "Careful there, Anderson," Dan murmured, his fingers ghosting along her arm. "Keep looking at me like that, and I might not wait for you to finish breakfast."Freya's breath hitched. She set down her bacon roll, appetite forgotten. "Maybe I'm done eating," she challenged, lifting her chin defiantly.Dan's smile was positively wolfish. "Then I guess it's time to settle our little debate, isn't it?" In one fluid motion, Dan stood and swept Freya off her chair. She let out a surprised squeal that quickly dissolved into giggles as he tossed her over his shoulder, her auburn hair falling in a messy cascade.
