Starr’s POV She walked in with a huge smile on her face. My heart racing, I froze, my eyes fixed on her menacing smile. I got scared seeing her close to me but I didn’t want to say anything. I wasn’t ready to have any conversation with anyone. She placed her hands on my cheek and rubbed it slowly, and she used her thumb to raise my face to look at hers. She only stared at me for few more seconds before speaking, “It wouldn’t have gotten to this if you had just listened.” I furrowed my brows, trying to make sense of Ella’s words. Immediately that rolled out of her lips, I knew deep down in me that she deliberately pushed me into the water. Apparently, I thought it wasn’t intentional, but seeing her act like this, I instantly knew she had no feeling of remorse in her. She was happy that she pushed me, she wished I’d died.I loved Ella so much, I took her as my own sister, I gave her everything she always asked for, and this is how she repay me? I shake my head to snap out of my thoughts as I offer him an apologetic look before moving towards the door. He stepped aside as I went out to give them a chance to talk as couples, even though I hated it. When I close the door behind me, I rest my back against it, sighing and closing my eyes. I was interrupted by Ella, who stood beside me with a smirk on her face. “Why? Did her one true love come already?” She asked. I looked at her while she gave me a smile and offered me something to drink, but I told her not to bother as I went downstairs. I run a hand through my hair as I make my way out of their house. I unlocked my car and drove out of their compound. I drove straight to John Barleycorns’ as I ordered a martini and sat there thinking about things I should not. I wasn’t supposed to feel this way, this

Seizing that opportunity, he plunged his tongue into my mouth making me moan from the intense feeling I felt. I gasps to catch my breath as I pulled back for a moment before kissing him back with the same energy. My fingers wrapped around his wrist for backup as our lips moved together. He stopped and parted a little, making me moan in disapproval as he teasingly brushed our lips again together. He placed his forehead on mine for a short second before capturing my lips again. He moved his hands from my face as mine go around his back to pull him closer to me. He started moving his hands from the back of my neck, his fingers working wonders as he trails and slides them to my breasts, making a moan leave me. I felt good that I had said something that would pick him, something he saw as a challenge.“Really? You’re gonna mock me with what I confided in you with? Just because of a woman?” He said.“Exactly, all of these started because of a woman too, right? You mock me with my past because of a woman.” I told him and continued.“Yes, I made that bet a long time ago. People change. So yes, Christian I did. She changed me and I’m so happy that she did. But what about you? Can you say the same about yourself?” I threw at him and Gab hurriedly came to stand in between, telling us to stop.He stayed quiet for more seconds before he chuckled and replied, “What about me?
