Joy grinned as she scarfed the meal down and Nathalia’s jaw dropped as she somehow knew that what she had cooked was a meal she knew that he was going to compliment it even if it wasn’t so good but she knew that she was going have to explain to her sister in law what she had made but seeing that she had loved it was so complimentary to her life and she for sure knew that now she could continue her cooking spree when at home.Joy finished the food in a few minutes and when she looked up at her she ended up bursting into laughter as she saw that her expression was a mix of amazement and also a mix of what seemed to be shock that she had ate of the food with so much happiness.“That right there Nathalia was delicious and somehow I feel so envious of my brother right now because he seems to be living the life that I want” she signed before she arose from the seat she had been on enjoying the food she had been served. She went downstairs and returned after she had washed the bowl of food t

As she walked through the pack she found herself before his he was in deep conversation with Ax and Jordan discussing something about having to find whoever it was that had planned the attack on him.She didn’t look happy and Ax and Jordan all knew where this was going to having found their own mates too and even before Xavier they knew when women where mad and they knew they had to go extra lengths to make them happy.Probably something Xavier was yet to learn as he always took everything on the serious note he sure was going to learn now that having to deal with his mate held a lot of tolerance, attention and emotions he had hidden for reasons best know to him.He just left and now he was here giving orders forgetting he had a mate who was upper worried about him.Somehow he was lucky to have had a mate who was deaf and couldn’t really scream out loud because if she for sure knew how to scream he should have heard his name from the moment she entered through the small door dividing

How could he still be looking for her? Why had he not thought she had been captured and killed as she had ran away? With the way she was malnourished and left with nothing but bones and a few broken ribs, why did he think it was perfect to come looking for her still?“We had another couple of rogues come to tell us that they didn’t think you were dead because somehow Derrick could feel your presence and I don’t know why he has such a feeling about you when he had not been able to penetrate or mark you” Xavier said as he continued to explain to her what had happened.Oh Goddess! Why could Derrick not leave her alone? Why did he think that he still had a ho9ld on her life?.“How did he get my scent past your territory, you have marked me and the rogue scent is gone, the blood and wounds all healed and I smell like vanilla and musk, that’s you and I mixed in one right?” she asked nervously looking at him and he could see the scare in her eyes and goddess he didn’t like seeing her like th

Jacqueline grinned as she approached Nathalia at the pack hospital reception and said, "Good morning, Nathie."She smiled and said, "Good morning, Jacqueline," or more accurately, she signed back.As she could swear she had just seen Nathalia's real smile, or a better version of her face, she said with pleasure, hoping her stay at the pack had been beneficial. "From the smile and look on your face you seem to be in a better mood.""I am doing fine, Jacky. How are you?" She asked again, her smile still visible as she turned to face the doctor."How is Xavier doing?" she enquired. "I am really great.""He is fine, I think, or at least mostly," she said."Oh! "Why guess?""Well, he is busy with some pack duties," she said with a smile."Since you are here, can we do your checkup?""That sounds good." I was thinking maybe I could try some new hearing aids and learn how to talk; not that these do not help, but I have pain in my ears," she said, pointing to the hearing aids she was given wh

A light breeze brushed through her body, waking her. She glanced up and saw her father in the middle of a lovely garden, the kind she had always promised him she would have when she was eighteen, a place where she could sit and reflect on her life. The grass was dotted with the greenest of bushes, and she adored the way all the other flower bushes were trimmed and shaved. Flowers were blooming, and they were all in vibrant colours. She slowly followed the butterflies that were floating past her side in all their beauty as she got up from where she had been sitting.Since it was a brand-new location, she had never been before; perhaps her father had done it.Was she dreaming?Touching her jaws in the hopes that she would not wake up from this dream, she forced herself to walk through the soft grass and headed for a stony path.Curiously, she started walking along the path, admiring the beautiful lilies and daffodils her father had undoubtedly provided for her because she had always enj
