«CLARA’s POV» The sun rose over the Dark Howl Pack, casting a breathtaking golden light over the rooftops. Birds chirped in the distance, but I barely heard them. My heart was heavy, my thoughts were loud, and my hands wouldn’t stop shaking. Today was the day. The day of the Moon Festival. It should’ve been a beautiful celebration. Joy, music, dances, and laughter echoing through the packhouse. But for me, it was something else. I stood in my room, just in front of the bed.
