Before the storm

If it was a normal day, the whole place would be filled with grunts of men training, voices of them strategizing and planning their next mission. But today, it wasn’t like that. The whole place was calm, everyone was busy trying to get their best look, because today was a significant day for them. Their boss was getting married. Rebecca stood next to her window, watching everyone from there. She was still in her night robe and had no plans to change it anytime soon. Her eyes were swollen and the dark circle under her eyes was the first thing anyone would notice upon seeing her. They were all proof that she didn’t sleep last night. She didn’t have anything doing but she couldn’t sleep. She wanted it to be morning already so she would proceed to don Alessandro’s house, but she could only do that if everyone had left for the wedding.
