ALEXANDER'S POV I’d been pacing the courthouse hallway for nearly twenty minutes when the doors finally opened. For the past twenty minutes, I watched the door contemplating whether I should walk in or I should wait for her to come out and in between those waiting minutes, the only thing that managed to keep me stable was the pacing around. KATHERINE’S POV I must have actually slept off despite all the pounding my head was making because when I finally opened my eyes, the curtains were drawn close, making the room dark. For a moment, I didn’t know where I was. The silence felt too heavy, pressing against my ears, and my head throbbed viciously, worse than before.
