NATHALIE’S POV-“Baby, let’s check your temperature again.” I told her.She nodded with a smile.I took the body temperature using a gun-style thermometer.“Baby...” I said sweetly. “I’m going to put this on your forehead,” I reminded her. This morning she was scared of this body temperature. After explaining to her how to use it, she understood and is still happy every time I use it on her.“Thirty-six degrees.” I told her. “Your body temperature is normal, baby, but you still need to take your medicine and vitamins.”I put it back on the table and looked at what she was doing. We’re in her playroom now, collecting the designs he made. Everything is exactly as we left it, meaning no one has touched anything. She labeled some of her pieces, but since naming them is difficult and gives her a headache right now, she’s focusing on creating new ones first.“Sports theme?” I asked her. She’s working on two designs, and I observed one is a basketball while the other is a tennis ball. She

CALIX’S POV-“Oh my gosh, Calix!” Veronica exclaimed joyfully upon entering her office, noticing me standing before her office table. She dashed towards me, ready to embrace me, but I swiftly raised the envelope I was holding, which instinctively stopped her in her tracks right in front of me.“What’s that? Our marriage certificate? You must be too excited. I haven’t had a chance to visit the salon yet, because I thought we were meeting in exactly two weeks. But here you are, showing up less than a week after the day we agreed on.”She intended to step toward me again, but I halted her with my words. “I’m not here to fulfill your fantasies.”The smile on her face quickly disappeared. “Then, what do you need? Will you voluntarily return Brianna to me so this process doesn’t drag on, or do I still have to pursue legal action? And once I get Brianna from you, I will make sure to make her life a living hell. Every day, you’ll fear for her well-being and wish you had married me instead of

NATHALIE’S POV-I placed the flowers on my daughter’s grave.I stroked her name as if my hand were holding her.‘I met your father…’ I said to her, ‘I’m sorry, sweetheart. Your father doesn’t know about you... yet.’Lost in time, I stared at my child’s grave, nearly forgetting Chloe had even accompanied me here.If she hadn’t caressed my back to express her sympathy, I wouldn’t have remembered I had someone with me.I stood up and faced her. “Sorry, I forgot you were there.” I admit. “It’s been so long since I last visited my child... our Sir Calix’s child.”“I understand, Nathalie.”I had no plans to reveal this to her or anyone, but as it turned out, her involvement became necessary.......~ ~ ~ ( FLASHBACK : HAWAII) ~ ~ ~-“Harrison...” I called out hoarsely. “You... You’re the father of my child...”I had to hold my mouth to stop myself from crying.“I’m sorry...”“What? What are you sayin?”“Our child is dead... and it’s because of me. I’m sorry...”And then I broke down and

NATHALIE’S POV-“This is fvcking unbearable.” Sir Calix choked out, his gaze locked on our child’s grave. From the time he arrived and Chloe left us, an uneasy quiet has hung between us for, the silence broken only now.“Why didn’t you tell me?”And only now did I have the courage to look at him.The coldness in his eyes was now masked by a furious red as he looked at me. His body was shaking, hus hands trembling violently with anger directed at me.“When the fvck exactly did you discover I was the father of your child? When the h*ll did you figure out it was me all along? When did you finally remember? God fvcking dammit, Nathalie! Why am I the last one to be informed? Why did everyone else get the news first? And does Harrison know about our child as well?”Faced with a torrent of questions, all I could offer was a nod.“What’s with that fvcking nod?” He gasped, suppressing a scream. “Give me a godd*mmit clear and coherent fvcking answer.” He demanded.“Harrison knows too...” I alm

CALIX’S POV-The day was well advanced when I finally stood before the grave of Nathalie’s and my child. I settled down, my eyes fixed on the name she had bestowed upon our offspring.“Sapphire... what a lovely name.” A sigh escaped me, tinged with a deep sorrow, as I uttered the complete name inscribed on her tombstone: “Sapphire Davies.”“Sapphire Watson, that should be your full name, baby.” I whispered as if I was going crazy and telling my daughter what I wanted to tell her. “Forgive your daddy, Sapphire. Forgive me for not being there when you needed me, when your mother and you needed me most. Forgive me for leaving Nathalie to take care you on her own. Forgive me for being powerless to save you that day. Forgive me, my daughter, for failing both you and your mother.”“Forgive me for the words I hurled at your mother yesterday. I didn’t intend to wound her so deeply, though that doesn’t excuse her actions. Forgive me, Sapphire. Forgive me that your mother and I can’t find our
