She'd seen them before. Once or twice. Chapter 5 Aviana Aviana Grey adjusted the hem of her fitted blazer, her pulse steady despite the weight of the moment. The grand estate of the Iron vine towered over her like an imposing force weighing down on her confidence, showing just a little of what was to come as soon as she stepped inside the gate or the mansion. She stepped forward, her heels clicking against the pavement, exuding the confidence of a woman who belonged. Infiltrating the most feared mafia family on the East Coast required more than just a flawless résumé—it demanded a mask, and Aviana had perfected hers. The guard on the left stopped just as she was about to enter through the gates.“Name?*“Anna reed, I'm here for the interview. Lucas is expecting me,” she said smoothly, handing over a forged ID.The man inspected it before nodding towards the intercomA brief exchange occurred between him and someone on the other side before the huge black gate opened. As soon as she stepped into the eststez she felt the im

Aviana ”Welcome to the family, Anna Reed," Lucas said as we rode the elevator up.I still couldn't believe what I had done.I had killed an innocent man, stabbed right in the neck .My heart was beating way too fast. I had no idea how I was managing to stay composed. I had just fucking killed an innocent man!"Thank you," I managed out with a smile that didn't reach my eyes. As we stepped out of the elevator, we entered the living room, and Lucas led me into the door they'd come out of the first time.He opened the door and spoke, "Wait here," he said before walking in.He was back a second later."You can come in now," he smirked.I entered the room and groaned at the dimly lit room.It looked like an office with a huge mahogany desk close to the window. Behind the desk was Duncan Romano.I swallowed at his intense presence and his gaze that seemed to undress me."Have a seat, Miss Reed," he said, his baritone voice vibrating through my body.I walked towards him and sank into the

DuncanI wanted her! I thought as I paced the black marble floor of my room.I wanted her so badly; it felt like a rush that could only be quelled by her.I wanted her under me as I fucked her against the bedframe, on my table, on the floor, and in the shower as I inhaled her intoxicating scent, and I hated it.Why?Because I didn't trust her. She was just too… perfect. From her hair to her body to her voice to her eyes that begged to be slammed against a wall and devoured. My breathing came out in short, shallow breaths. Getting out of there before things could get out of hand was a good decision, but then, why did it feel like I had made a mistake? She'd been recommended to me by my best friend, Roberto from the underground, and I trusted Roberto's judgement more than most, but Anna Reed was too perfect. Her scent, her smell. I had never thought I'd want to fuck a human so badly before and at first sight so eagerly.I was a man that liked sex; I liked to fuck, but my women were alw
