Lahat ng Kabanata ng Mate Rebound : Kabanata 71 - Kabanata 80

Roland's POV~Smoke twisted from fires, filling the air with the taste of blood and pine, and I stood at its core, my boots sinking into the soil’s upturned clay, my fists clenched so hard my knuckles cracked. My son, my heir, Julian, had been locked up by those bastards in Vellex, his capture a threat to my power. My pack’s raids had been dogging Vellex’s outposts for days: every strike was a shout for his freedom, but it was not enough. Rage twisted through my chest, a fatherly anger mixed with an alpha pride. Whispers among my scouts of Damien’s raid on the Silver Veil casino lab made my teeth grind—Julian’s life was hanging by a thread, and I would rip Vellex apart to get him back.A scout came ripping through the tent flaps, his face black with ash, his leather jacket ripped. “Alpha Roland!” he panted, his voice ragged. “Damien’s team struck the casino lab at Silver Veil at first light. The lab is a complete mess, but Julian’s not there. Vellex is closing the packhouse down, doub

Damiens POV~The packhouse foundations were shaking with the echoing cries of Bloodhound raids tearing open Vellex’s lands. I was in the war room, pounding my fists on the oak table and the wood there cracking and breaking under my knuckles, a roar ripping out of my mouth and shaking the air. My mind kept replaying the image of Elara on that cursed Silver Veil lab monitor, strapped to a chair, her hazel eyes wide open in fear. The threats of Roland—of his pack’s incessant attacks to liberate Julian—were so much emptiness against her abduction. Let that suffocating bastard Julian decay in our cells chained in silver and I'd vowed on my blood never to release him until Elara was safe in my arms. I kicked a chair, the chair legs splintering like thin twigs, my growl a vow: I’d raze Silver Veil to ash before I’d lose her again, my cowardice already unhealed guilt.A scout ran in, his face smeared with soot, holding a shredded piece of cloth—Elara’s, taken from the wreckage of the casino l

Caspian's POV~I was pacing in the war room, my fists balled so hard my knuckles went white, Roland’s threat of “Give us back Julian or we’ll make like Vellex and burn” felt like a rope tightening around my neck. My father, Savire Duke, had been caught as a Silver Veil conspirator, his involvement in their Phase Shift ritual a betrayal that cut deeper than Roland’s threats. Elara being captured, her image taped to a lab monitor haunted me from Damien’s frantic reports, and Jasmine’s safety propelled me through the chaos. My loyalty to Damien, and my love for Jasmine, my mate, could never be destroyed, but the betrayal of my father, if only I’d known was enough to shatter all I’d held. I couldn’t stop—I couldn’t let Elara be in Tyler’s clutches, I couldn’t let my father’s poison still turn Vellex. I needed to face him; to tear the truth out of him, and put an end to this ceremony before it consumed us all.I stormed through the packhouse, my boots reverberating against the cold stone

Julian's POV~I’d slumped against the cool floor, my wrists rubbed raw by silver cuffs that felt like they burned, my body a cacophony of bruises that had been slashed there by Damien’s claws. My wolf stifled a low growl where his strength should have roared to the surface. I didn’t realize Elara’s capture would result in me being a captive, but Winifred’s carving — that cryptic murmuring in the night, her cautioning against their ritual — chewed at my brain, a riddle I couldn’t quite solve. The walls trembled, Bloodhound raids jarring the packhouse, my father Roland’s war for my freedom a far-off storm. His anger was all I had to grasp at, an opportunity to fight back and win back a bit of the power I’d lost. I had been a fool, trying to harness Elara against Damien, my vendetta with Vellex causing me to lose sight of the cost. Now, I was running out of time to save myself, and I was chained and broken. The sound of boots in the passage toward me, heavy and measured; Kael, a bare, w

Jasmine's POV~I was a captive, plucked from my safe house after the Bloodhounds overran our defenses, a blur of claws and agony in my capture. The shock of the words “Vessel Secondary” had not yet worn off, a cold reality that had chained my place in this supposed nightmare beside Elara, who sat next to me, her hazel eyes wide with terror, her wrists raw and bleeding from silver cuffs. On the other side of the lab’s reinforced walls, Bloodhound howls broke the night, Roland’s war for Julian reduced Vellex to its foundation. My auburn hair stuck to my face slick with sweat, my heart pounding, but my love for Elara — my sister in everything but blood — and Caspian, my mate, was a flame that blazed hotter than any fear. The stuff we were doing, the ritual, to unlock the ultimate wolf power of our blood, was hanging over our heads but I wasn’t going to let it get to us.“Elara, we’re going to get out,’” I whispered, my brown eyes staring at hers, willing her to hang on. “Stay with me, ok
