CHAPTER 36Rose’s POVThe drive to the campus was short and quiet. Damien wore a distant look the whole time, as if his mind was elsewhere. He tapped his fingers repeatedly on his legs, and I wondered what was going on in his head that made him so nervous. I considered asking him, then I decided against it.The venue for the outreach was the main hall of the school, and we were welcomed with eager applause and smiles on our arrival. It only took an hour and a few minutes for Damien to deliver his speech.
