Autumn's POV I opened my eyes slowly. The light in the room felt too bright, and my head was pounding. Everything felt heavy. My body. My eyes. Even my thoughts. It was like waking up after being underwater for too long. I blinked a few times, confused about where I was. The ceiling was white. The room smelled like medicine. I was in a hospital.Then I heard someone crying softly beside me. I turned my head, barely and saw Lily.She was sitting on a small chair, holding my hand tightly, tears running down her face. Her eyes were red and puffy. Her hair was messy like she hadn’t slept in days. When she noticed I was awake, she gasped and jumped up.“Miss Autumn!” she cried, hugging me gently. “You’re awake! Oh thank the Moon Goddess!”I tried to speak but my throat was dry.“Water…” I whispered.She quickly grabbed a glass of water from the side table and helped me drink. It felt cold and soothing. I swallowed slowly, feeling a little better.“What happened?” I asked, my voice raspy.
