SucreOh shit! I can’t move. I can’t feel my hands. My legs! Oh my God! Where am I?“Ooh… what’s happening?” I gasped as ice-cold water poured over me, shocking me awake.I coughed, spitting out the water that had gotten into my mouth. Shaking my head to clear my vision, I felt a sharp pain pulse through my skull.“Why am I tied up?” I rhetorically asked myself, struggling to breathe.I could barely see in the dimly lit room, filled with the stench of sweat, blood, and cigarettes.Wait! Someone’s approaching. The sound of heavy boots thudded against the wooden floor, growing louder with every step. A towering, muscular man stopped in front of me, his broad frame blocked out the weak light hanging above. He stared down at me, his eyes burning with anger.“You ready to talk now?” His voice was rough, impatient.“I don’t know what the hell you want”, I sobbed.A resounding slap swayed my head to the side, sending thick saliva trickling from my mouth.I groaned in pain, blinking rapidly

Damn! How could I have be so stupid? Surely, my life ends today. What would Otto do? Would he send his men now? I had to do something.I would run. Yes. I would pack a bag and disappear before morning. But where? Otto had men everywhere. There was no running from a man like him. A car screeched outside, nearly giving me a heart attack. I bolted to the window, carefully peeping through the small opening on the side but the car sped off.Oh my God! This can't be happening.I collapsed onto the seat by the window in my room, my heart pounding against my chest. Every movement outside felt like a threat. Every passerby became a potential cartel member sent to end me.I kept looking at my phone, my fingers trembling as I refreshed the screen again and again. No response from Otto. No threat. Nothing but silence.I must be the most wanted man on campus.Just then, came a knock on the door. A single, deliberate knock. I almost lost my breath. For a moment, I could barely see clearly as panic

It’s happening tonight.Tonight is the night I bring the mafia cartel to its knees. Tonight, I’ll sleep with Otto and make a sextape.Yes.Tonight, I’ll end them for good. The weight of everything Luca and I had planned pressed heavily on my mind as I hid in a room down the hallway, waiting patiently, counting down the moments until the anniversary dinner party ended.I couldn’t risk being seen by Otto or any of his men. Earlier today, he had sent me a warning, declaring me an enemy. He told me to run.To run for my life. Each footstep that echoed past the hall became a suspect. Each laugh, each giggle, felt suspicious. As I paced from one part of the room to another, thoughts of my revenge on Otto flooded my mind. I had practiced every detail of my vendetta down to the smallest detail. But the thought of having sex with the same man who murdered my brother years ago repulsed me. I couldn’t bring myself to surrender to pleasure with that cold-hearted tyrant, to his moans of pleasure

SUCREMy fingers trembled as they fumbled over my phone’s screen. I could barely breathe. Could this really be him - the Vice Chancellor? The phone rang once. Twice. Then, in one a swipe I answered the call pressing the device to my ear. But, there was Silence.A shiver crawled up my spine. Then…“Hello, Sucre,” a voice finally spoke. Deep. Familiar. It was really the vice chancellor.I exhaled sharply, gripping the phone tighter. He’s alive. Relief flooded my chest, but it barely settled before a new wave of unease crashed over me.“I’ve been out of town for a few days,” he continued, his tone calm. Unbothered.I swallowed hard. “You… you weren’t home?”“No. I just got back. Why?”Cold dread pulsed through me. My mind raced back few hours ago standing outside his house. I was certain I saw two shadows on the curtains.I had seen someone inside. Someone who I thought to be him.I held my phone tighter. Fingers sweaty. My pulse hammered in my ears. “But… I was at your place,” I whisp

SUCREShock gripped me as we hurried off the cab and strolled into the hospital. “Otto was planning a hit on your brother - on Pedro?!" I blinked. "That can't be right. Why would he do that?""I told you, man!" Luca snapped, his eyes burning with urgency. "Something’s off. The way Otto reacted, the disappointment on his face when I told him Pedro survived? It didn’t sit right with me. I swear, Otto had something to do with the stabbing." The automatic doors of the hospital hissed open, and we rushed in. Luca didn’t even glance at the front desk - he pushed past the security guard without hesitation.“Sir, you can’t…!”Too late. We were already down the hallway, Luca was faster, practically sprinting. I followed, heart pounding with fear. Room 216.We busted in.There. He lunged forward, shoving the doctor away, convinced it was Jules. But then the doctor turned slightly, revealing a different face. Not him.Luca exhaled sharply, the tension in his shoulders loosening just a little
