Council members, generals, and realm envoys stood in tense silence, gathered around the flameglass panel in the center of the war table. The glass trembled with subtle heat, stirred by power it rarely summoned.“He’s finally going to speak,” Maera said under her breath, narrowing her eyes. “But not to us.”Ceres stepped forward, her hands resting on the table’s edge. “He doesn’t care about us. He wants the wolves who haven’t chosen sides yet.”The flameglass flared suddenly. A wall of fire rippled across its surface before coalescing into a clear image. Arion appeared, tall and calm, standing in the heart of what once was sacred, before a twisted effigy of the Flame Crown. The crown floated behind him like a charred sun, its once-golden peaks blackened and bent into unnatural angles.
