“You are mine now,” His words rang in my head continuously. I couldn’t believe what I had gotten myself into. But there must be a way out for me. So I decided to distract him. “What do you mean by you threw Erina out of the window?” I asked him as I watched him drink from the glass that was right in front of him. “What is there not to understand pumpkin? She is of no value to me,” he responded. “Of no value? But she is your mate,” I said to him. “Was, pumpkin. She was my mate,” Jason said in a monotone. “But she loves you,” I responded, trying to convince him alongside distract him. I was glad it was working perfectly. “I know she does pumpkin but that has nothing to do with me. She serves no purpose for me, now that you are here,” he responded. I was confused about how he spoke, the things he said about Erina like she is some commodity. “So you rejected me and mated with her because she has her wolf? And dumped me because I didn’t? Really?” I questioned him in shock.

Ryder’s POV The trial of having the rogues confess has been a tussle as they have proved their loyalty to Jason over and over again. I left the manor before Kiara could get up to go meet up with Brandon at the fields so I could assist him and find out what way we could go about solving the situation at hand. But they proved stubborn over and over, saying slurs words, and delivering more threats to us. “I should get back to the Manor,” I said to Brandon as the day was already turning dark and I needed to check in on Kiara, to know if she was okay. My mind has been unsettled since I left her alone all day. Although I was devastated about the task of today not being successful, seeing her would ease my soul. “Send my greetings to her. I should be home tomorrow,” Brandon said to me as I was about to enter my car and I responded, “Sure I will. See you tomorrow.” With that, I drove off to the path leading to the manor. Approaching the manor, I noticed that all the rooms were d

Ryder’s POV It has been four days now, four days without having to see my Kiara. As much as I want Jason to pay for what he has done, for his crimes and inconveniences, I want to have Kiara in my arms first and foremost. Brandon arrived as soon as I called and we started to make a plan on how we were to get him. Now that he has his hands on Kiara, the attacks by the rogues have ceased, and that proves that indeed he was the mastermind behind these and all he ever wanted was Kiara and her powers. “Why don’t we send the omegas out for a search,” Brandon suggested and I agreed to it. But there was a clause. I recalled the past attacks that had happened in the pack, to me, and Kiara. And the last attack on Kiara was smooth, like it was being orchestrated by someone right here in the pack. “How about we move this way,” I said to Brandon telling him my plans and how I would love for it to play out. “If indeed there is a rat in the pack, instead of him moving by morning, Jason wi

Kiara’s POV I had lost count of the number of days I had been held captive by Jason. I had lost every glimpse of hope of being rescued from his clasp. My expectations were up when I was held at the apartment in the city but now that we had moved to the middle of nowhere, I might just have to accept my new fate. I prayed each day and night that Ryder would find me and save me from this misery. Although Jason taunted me with Ryder and Brandon forgetting me so soon, I believe that they would not have forgotten me so soon—we shared a greater bond than for me to be forgotten so soon. “The sooner you accept that you belong here, the better for you,” Jason said to me each time he came over to the room where I was being held captive. I had not eaten for days because I do not trust Jason, I knew who he was, and the dirty tricks he played. There could be a chance he might have drugged my meal or my water. One could never know what Jason has up his sleeves. I was drained, sick to my s

Kiara’s POV I watched as the day turned into noon, and noon turned into night, with the full moon flowing in all its glory, unshaken by the sight of anyone. Earlier today, I was forced to take a milk bath to prepare myself for Jason. He demanded that my skin be as silky as satin when he wants to mate with me. The thought of Jason being so hellbent and serious about taking me as his mate seemed like a joke. He rejected me in the past but wants me now because I have powers—he was here for nothing but his selfishness and greed. A lady who would be in her mid-thirties walked into the room where I was held captive and suggested that I come along with her to have my pre-lunar preparations. “Pre-lunar preparations?” I asked her confused because there is absolutely no need for all of that right now. I was being held captive, held like a slave against my own will and the last thing I want to do is to get prepped for Jason to Nate with me under the full moon. “There is no need for that
