Kiara's POV Time seemed to slow to a halt as I took in Darius' last words. Kiara’s POV The air had gone completely still. The trees didn't move, and its leaves didn't sway either. For a moment,I was tempted to believe that time had stopped, and maybe, just maybe the world had frozen over, but the loud thumping of my chest was more than enough to rid me of that thought. Kiara’s POV The first hour passed in silence, and I thought, maybe staying in solitary confinement wasn't all that bad. Before long, the second passed, and I thought, if I could survive the first one, then definitely I could survive how long the soldiers wanted to keep us in here, but by the third, I wasn't sure my theory was very correct anymore. Unwillingly memorized every scar in the wooden walls of the holding cabin. Some of them had been intentional, like the ones that marked the number of days the last person who was kept in here survived, and others were unintentional or by accident.
