Varda's POV "What? Till further notice? Why can't I just check the results now? After all, I am the one pregnant here." I said, if there was one thing I despised in the entire world, it had to be unnecessary suspense. Why the hell did he have to pull that kind of stunt? Just vanish from nowhere and then make orders that had to do with me? I could not even deny the fact that Francis was messing with me and it was beginning to get out of total control. I rose to my feet and turned to the Doctor. "So, you are just going to keep the test results till further notice?" I snapped at the doctor, emphasizing my words. She sighed heavily. "I can only do as Mr McCall wishes, please understand." Doctor James flashed me pleading eyes. "Why? Because he makes donations to the hospital all the time? I do not know if you are forgetting but I am your patient here and I have the right to see my test results." I pressed further but as expected, Doctor James remained quiet, forever loyal to Francis. Varda's POV"Now that is more like it Varda, just the type of look I was expecting." A mischievous smirk grew on Fransisca's face. Oh my goodness, how did she know about the fake pregnancy and most importantly what did she plan on doing with that piece of information. Of course, she was going to blackmail me with it but I still tried to act like I did not care because I knew that if I made my fear obvious, Fransisca would take advantage of it and I would most likely be her lap dog for the next few days."What do you want Fransisca? As you can see, I am not exactly in the mood to chit chat." I snapped at her, my frown deepening. Fransisca rolled her eyes at me, my goodness, she was enjoying this so badly that it made me want to wipe that dirty grin off her face."Oh come on. Are you still acting so sour just because you saw I and Stephen together? You know that was bound to happen right?" Francisca choked out a bitter laughter. I clenched my fist tight and struggled to hold myself back

Varda's POV"You want to keep the lie going?" I rose to my feet and yelled at him in anger. Stephen rose to his feet and raised his brow at me. "It is too late to not keep it going Varda, everyone thinks you are pregnant so let them just keep thinking that for a while now." He said.I shook my head in disagreement. "No way in hell am I going to continue to let you manipulate me into playing your dirty game. Things have gone too far and we must put an end to it or else I will be the one taking the fall!" I yelled."Here we go again with you playing the victim card, do you ever even get sick of it?" Stephen snapped at me."And here you again again with the lying card. Do you not ever get sick of lying?" I snapped back at him.Stephen sighed heavily, he ran a hand through his hair in frustration and slowly began to pace the room. "Varda, we started this together, why the hell do you think I would back out and leave you to talk the fall? All these while i have been pleading for you to tru

Varda's POVStephen and I stepped into the lobby of the hospital and immediately we did, almost all the women around had their eyes fixated on Stephen while drooling. Some of them made it super obvious that they were drooling and gushing over him, some even tried to wave at him and greet him. Almost everyone in the hallways recognized that he was Stephen McCall. I could not help but feel jealous, I mean I had every right to since Stephen was my husband. How dared they gaze at him like that as if there was no woman standing right besides him?Stephen leaned close to me and asked. "What did you say the name of this doctor was again?" He asked with a concerned look plastered on his face. I stood on my toes to whisper into his ears. "Doctor James."I could have said that out loud but I wanted to be closer to Stephen so that some of the ladies staring would back off but surprisingly none of them did, it was almost like I was invisible to them. I scoffed in disbelief as we slowly made our

Varda's POV "Excuse me?" I scoffed at him in surprise. What did Stephen and his grandfather take me for? Some kind of lab rat? Why were they passing me around like I was some type of lab experiment. I felt anger rise in me and Stephen looked like he was about to protest so I raised my hands at him. "What do you take me for? Some kind of lab rat?" I snapped at him. "Varda, watch your tone, you are attracting the attention of people around you." He said through gritted teeth. My eyes roamed the hallways and he was right, we were getting weird glares from people around and i understood his concern because Stephen was a famous person, he had a reputation to live up to, if people saw him outside arguing with his wife, then they could come up with different stories that could tarnish his reputation. "Fine." I paused to sigh heavily. "Try to understand me Varda. We need to know if you are truly pregnant." Stephen said, his tone was calm. I knew I was pregnant, I was slowly beginning to
