Bella's POV. We drove for only about an hour in total silence, even though I desired a chat with him, his monosyllable response to my question made me give up. He was ignoring me. Did I say something wrong? Was it because I tried to make him tell me about himself, which he laughed off? I peered through the car window, fascinated by the green serene, and the slowly moving trees. Since the car was old, we were traveling at a snail's speed. Why on earth did he pick this damn old car in the first place? Edmond had a fleet of cars, so why go for this? Even if he has poor knowledge about cars, the rusted body of this car should have been enough warning to him. I doubt this condemned iron is capable of carrying us down to Greenwich territory. Baron's POV.  I pulled both my gun and my dagger out of the belt as I ran headlong toward the pine thicket. Midway, I heard a soft gurgling sound and felt a chill in my throat. Is that Bella? Bella's POV. It was raining again, a cold fine spray that poured in torrents from the sky. I looked up at the angry gray sky and just shook my head at the endless misery of life. To save D'Mathew, I have to give myself up. It was a long moment of silent deliberation as I drove through the lonely highway. My head said I should save myself, but my heart goes with him.
