Chapter Three Marguerite “Do you want me to pick you up after school?” Vinn asked as he dropped me off right in front of our school gate. Chapter Five Marguerite I slowly rode into the little parking lot in front of the apartment I shared with my mother, my mind filled with what happened at the academy today. My eyes widened further when I saw the packing boxes and almost empty space. Behind the boxes on the floor was my mother, her gaze fiery. The source of the noise was the small vase I'd gotten for her as a present on her birthday. My mother was an item collector, and loved keeping items ranging from portraits down to a little wooden spoon. Chapter Seven Anders “Your Highness,” the guard manning the door to the throne room bowed as I approached. “Open.” I nodded. The door opened to the wide throne room and I stepped in. At the far end, my parents were seated on their respective thrones and in the middle of what seemed to be a deep conversation. Chapter Nine AndersI eyed the plate of ratatouille and grilled fish, while debating if I should have a taste or not. I’d been at loss of what to order, and had just gone with whatever I saw first while searching through the menu. The last time I ate had been five hundred years ago, and while I was eager to test if my taste buds had awakened, I was still afraid. If the taste of food was still the same as before, that’d prove that Marguerite wasn’t my mate. Well, there was the vamp mate sex to prove that, but there had been cases where humans passed out while having sex and-I cut my thoughts midway, and pulled the bowl of stew closer.
