Grace When a fortune teller once told me I’d live an eventful life, full of surprises and excitement, I didn’t believe her. Honestly, I laughed right in her face. My life had always been painfully ordinary. I fell in love with a normal guy, I was going to marry him, and we’d have children together. Simple and predictable. Maybe even boring. But boring wasn’t always a bad thing. I was ready to spend the rest of my life in that calm, little box.But who would have expected her prophecy to be true? My world flipped overnight from normal to completely insane. And now here I was, living a life that was anything but ordinary. Maybe I shouldn’t have called the fortune teller a fraud after all. Because right now, I was living two different lives. One as myself. And the other as a nerdy, forgettable woman in glasses with a blonde wig.I sighed, clutching the strap of my bag tighter. It was the next day, and I was dressed in a brown dress I bought yesterday at the store. It was loose, a littl

GraceWhen I was younger, one of the nuns used to tell me there were only two paths in life, and every choice you made would push you closer to one or the other. She said those choices had the power to change everything. And right now, I could hear her voice echoing in my head.Because even though Genesis was asking what sounded like a simple question, everyone in this elevator knew it wasn’t simple at all. She was comparing them. Apollo and River. The two men standing on opposite sides of me. Even Chase seemed to realize it.But why bring River into this?I understood why Apollo was dragged into it, Genesis knew there was something between us. But River? I didn’t understand that at all. River and I were just friends. It didn’t matter. What mattered was answering without falling into whatever trap Genesis had set.Logically, River was the safe choice. He always had been. Before all this mess, he was the kind of man I would have chosen. He was kind, gentle, and far more normal than Apo

Grace I closed my eyes and pressed two fingers to my temple. The words on the page were beginning to blur together. I should’ve stopped hours ago, but every time I thought about putting the folder down, I forced myself to keep going. By now, it wasn’t even because I’d been ordered to, it was because I genuinely wanted to. Back in college, I’d written press releases for little campus projects, but this was bigger. I didn’t even know when it happened, but I started liking it. My phone dinged, interrupting me. I dropped the folder onto the table and let my gaze drift to my phone. River. [Are you busy?] I sighed and closed my eyes. Damn it. I had completely forgotten to tell him I wouldn’t be making it to lunch. I typed back. [Yes, I am. I’m sorry, let’s have lunch another time. My treat.] It didn’t take long for his reply to come. [Don’t worry about it. I expected it. And I will take you on that offer.] I stared at the words for a second too long. Why did I imagin

Grace“Good, because you’ll need your mouth for something else, princess.”I swallowed hard, even before I dared to glance at the huge bulge under his pants. I already knew what he was about to say wasn’t going to be anything innocent. It wasn’t even the words he used, it was the one word he didn’t use.He didn’t call me Miss Grace. He called me princess.Apollo always used that word when we were intimate. Whenever it left his lips, it was his way of deciding I was going to be ruined. And it worked, every damn time.My eyes dropped back to his cock, straining against the fabric, it was so large it made my mouth go dry. I wanted to slap myself. What the hell was I even doing? Why would I touch my boss’s pants like that, without thinking? Was I suicidal? Or just stupidly reckless?I blamed the food.Yes, the damn food. I’d been so thrilled about the delicious meal in front of me that I forgot the most dangerous thing in the room wasn’t the crab, it was him. And now I was kneeling here,

Apollo Fuck. What a sight. Her knees pressed to the floor, her wide eyes staring up at me, my thumb resting on her tongue. I could feel the warmth of her mouth, the scrape of her teeth, the pressure of her lips around me. And then those delicate fingers of hers brushed my thighs, like she didn’t even realize what she was doing.I was this close to losing it.This keeps happening. These last few days, I wasn’t myself. The old Apollo wouldn’t have done this. The old me wouldn’t have brought her lunch, wouldn’t have let her step inside my office, wouldn’t have her hidden beneath my desk like I was starring in some cheap porno. To me, men were simple. Two kinds existed in this world, men who thought with their brains, and men who thought with their dicks. I’d always been the first kind. I despised the second type, the pathetic, weak ones who couldn’t control themselves, who let lust drive them instead of discipline. They were useless, achieved nothing, and became nothing. And yet, here I
