Lahat ng Kabanata ng Sweet Revenge of The Rejected Daughter : Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

Klaus’ POVMy eyes fluttered open, the early sun warming my cold skin. Alice was still asleep, her head resting against my chest. Memories of the previous night flooded my head and my lips couldn’t help but curl into a smile. For several seconds, I couldn’t help but stare at her; she was breathtaking. Her plump red lips were slightly parted, her lashes resting on her cheeks like beautiful long feathers. Her platinum blonde hair was scattered across my arm, her breathing soft and steady. A perfect definition of a sleeping beauty. The more I looked at her, the more I fell in love with her features. Holding her close felt strangely comforting. Being here at the beach was peaceful. Too peaceful. For a moment, I wished we could live like this forever. But deep down, I knew that was a far-fetch idea, especially now that Jackson was back. But what troubled me more wasn’t about his return, it was the truth. I wished for nothing more than Alice never knowing about the past. Because if she

Klaus’ POVI need to move faster now. But first, I need a distraction; something that would take Alice’s mind away from trying to take the DNA test. “Alice, why haven’t you made a move on Michael yet?”“Huh?” She raised her head, her mouth full of burger. “You wanted revenge on him too, right?” I asked, a smirk playing on my lips. “Victoria has had her own fair share of it. It’s time for Michael’s turn.”“What do you have in mind?”“I'll show you when we get home.”“Hmm.”After a while, she spoke up. “I actually forgot how scary you can be sometimes.”“I’m scary for others, but a helpless romantic for you,” I whispered, using my hand to wipe off a bit of mayonnaise on the side of her mouth. Alice paused, a blush blossoming across her face. “Since when were you good with words like that?”“Since I met you.”I leaned back in my seat, watching the blush on her face deepen. For someone who never used pick up lines on girls, I was surprisingly good. “I think I like this version of you,

Alice’s POVMy eyes fluttered open, the morning sunlight dancing across my face. I tried to sit up, but my muscles felt too weak and heavy to move. The dull ache in my core brought back those intimate memories and heat crept up to my face.“That pervert,” I muttered to myself, my lips curling into a smile. From the beach, to the small restaurant and down to everything…it was amazing. I never knew Klaus could be so romantic and even better, it seemed like he felt the same way as I did. I really wished life could go on like this. Just the both of us against the world. His words replayed in my head “You’re the only woman in my world.” “I’d rather lose anyone but you.” The blush on my face deepened. Why does Klaus have to be so effortlessly charming? The door pushed open, revealing Klaus’ handsome face. “Good morning, wife.”“Good…good morning,” I managed to reply, unable to look him in the eyes. “Still shy?” He chuckled, dropping the tray he was holding. “Here, I brought you breakfast

Alice’s POV For several seconds, there was silence on the other end. “Alice…are you sure?”I took a deep breath. “Yes.”“Once we do this, it might change everything.”“I know.” I tightened my grip around the phone “What’s the next course of action?”“We can’t meet openly because of Klaus, so we have to strategize.”I paused before saying. “I’ll send you the location where we can see. All you just need to do is to get your doctor ready.”“Understood. See you tomorrow.”After ending the call, my mind was a mess. Why was Klaus so desperate to stop me? What could the DNA test possibly reveal that would ruin everything? My gaze landed on my wedding ring. Yes, I loved Klaus. But why was he hiding things from me?The next morning, I woke up and freshened up. Then, immediately went downstairs to get breakfast. The moment I spotted Klaus sitting in the dining room, my heart skipped a beat. I quickly pressed my lips into a thin line and kept my arms locked at my sides. Klaus lifted his head,

Alice’s POVAfter I and Klaus walked into the event, I spottedSophia Grey. She was clad in a red vintage gown that flowed behind her, making her more bold and elegant. She was happily chatting with a woman and my interest was piqued. The moment I saw the person she was with, my eyes widened. It was Michael's mother, Margaret Blackwood. The way Sophia relaxed and chatted freely with her made my brows furrow. They seemed pretty…close. Too close. But why? Could they be business partners? Or possibly more? The image of that package flashed in my mind. My fingers tightened around my glass. Margaret was a woman whose ego was bigger than the hall. And worse, she never liked me even while I was still Michael’s fiancée. But still, what does she have to do with me? “Alice, I’ll be right back,” Klaus said, a flicker of fear and unease crossing his features. I nodded my head, barely paying attention to his words. Then, he left, which made me relieved. Now, I could speak to Sophia. I needed to
