Athena’s POVI didn't know how long I had slept. One moment, I was slipping into unconsciousness, pain throbbing through my body and the next, I was blinking thinking of where I was.My body ached, but it wasn’t sharp like before. My hand, the one that had been cut and bruised, was now wrapped carefully in soft white bandages.The bed beneath me was softer than anything I’d ever slept on. The covers were heavy but comforting, like a cocoon. I shifted slightly, groaning at the dull ache in my side.“Matt,” I whispered, my voice cracking in the stillness.The light blinked on, soft and golden. My eyes squinted at the sudden brightness, and then I saw him Matt, standing by the door, a tray in his hands.“You’re awake,” he said gently, walking toward me.“Where am I?” I murmured, but he didn’t answer right away. He just set the tray down beside me and sat on the edge of the bed.“Eat something,” he said, handing me a spoon. “Get some food into you before you go back to the pack.”I nodded
