THORNE'S POV I had done it countless times before, I could do it again! I somehow lost the will to command myself out of sleep this morning, I lay down in bed feeling both tired and hungry at the same time. My head was a drowsy mess, my mind, a very rare epitome of weltered balls of yarn jumbled together in a confused mass. I sat up groggily and got up to my feet, opening the windows, I allowed myself to breath in some fresh air. LYRA'S POV I had probably made a mistake leaving Thorne alone and heading away with Duncan but I had told myself that whatever he had to say had better be worth my time or I would simply just excuse myself from his presence. Duncan pulled out a chair for me to have my seat, then he went to sit in the chair in front of me. "I didn't expect that you would come." He started. "You already said that before."
