My fingers trailed along the plush fabrics in the dresser drawer, stopping at a cream colored set. I removed the oversized clothes I was wearing and I pulled on a pair of cotton shorts and tee shirt. These definitely fit better than Luca’s. But I missed his smell. There I go again. Now we were back in the kitchen to eat. Claire made the three of us sandwiches and iced tea. The next morning I woke in my new bed. The fluffy down comforter hugging my body. I sat up feeling more rested than ever before. Suddenly I was hearing a commotion coming from downstairs. I toweled off my sweat from my forehead and neck. A small group of a few girls and a couple guys walked out way. They were thanking Gavin for the training session. Farah POVI woke the next morning to a delicious smell permeating the packhouse. Mmm. Coffee. I found it easier to get up these days. Feeling like I had a life, a purpose. I missed out on quite a bit living in hiding, ruled by someone who only caused fear in his people. I shook the thought of him away. And then there was my ability. Luca POVI was sitting in the office going over papers, coffee in hand. It had been a few days now, and Farah was getting more and more distracting. I tried to work in the office, but it was hopeless.
