Landon.Maybe I should be more understanding. But the fact that she's so worried over that boy sends me off the cliff. I mean, is he really worth it? I roll my eyes as I storm away from my Wing. If I hadn't and she continued to disagree, I would have marked her as mine right on that spot.I doubt Brooklyn knows what that means. However, my parents raised me better than that and I know that she'll never forgive me. She has been more open to this than what I was expecting of someone that didn’t know all these while what she actually is. Maybe it's the fact that a part of her has always been a werewolf. Maybe she simply just wants to try, I should be grateful for it and try not to mess it up.With a sigh, I pause my strides. I shouldn't have stormed off that way. I should have had more self control. Guilts begin to gnaw at me, I shouldn't have snapped at her. As I made a move to go back to apologize to her, a noise downstairs captured my attention.I should give Brooklyn space. Once I at

Brooklyn.I don't know how to feel.I totally don't know what to feel about what I had just learned. All my life, I was never taught about relationships with men. Aside from Mike, I pretty much keep to myself.Maybe because I am mostly around Mike and his friends and I know how the male species can be. The way they speak is usually very protective. Right then and there, I decided that the only man I'll ever get involved with has to be the one. Now that I've found him, I don't fancy the complications that come with it. No, it's mentally degrading and I love my peace so much. So, I stick to no feeling at all. That should do until I have to think about it again. Besides, it's all about Mike now…and food.“Baby?” I hear Landon's low voice as we both walk side by side in silence. I picked up my step a little. “Little wolf?” The nickname makes me feel jittery, but right now? I want to slap his mouth. That thought makes me laugh internally. When I still don't respond, he sighs and tug my

Brooklyn.Y'know I love my mate the way she's right?” Landon starts. “Her round face, the way her feet twitch when she's cold or ecstatic. The slight crinkle of her nose when she doesn't like something or someone.” My eyes tear up from how emotional I got after hearing him talk about me like that. I don't even know that I do that. He must stare at me a lot. “She's perfect. Everything about her is. Her body and attitude are all something you'll never measure. Goddess, you don't even make half of what she is.”“Landon,” I hear Sara gasp.“Take that, bitch,” I comment as I grin and Billie chuckles.“It's King to you,” he hissed at her. “And you…” I wonder who he said that to. “You dare speak to my mate —your future queen that way?” I frown and peer up at Billie. “My mom,” she mouths. My mouth forms an o shape. Wait, did I just hear him refer to me as his future queen???“Lanny dear—” I hear Lisa say.“Don't, mother. Don't.” Landon sounds like he's trying to restrain his anger. “Yo

Brooklyn. After the argument ends, I stay cooped up in his arms, refusing to let go. Landon tries to work whilst still holding me in his arms, but it just isn’t working well for him. Besides, why should he work when I'm trying to savor our alone time? So, I distract him. Landon himself appreciates the gesture, I just know it. “So, where did you go?” I ask, leaning into his hold. Landon's hand wraps around my shoulder and I rest my head on his chest. “A business meeting.” A paper in hand, Landon opens the next page. I thought he wasn’t going to say more until he did. “A pack down the north was having a financial crisis and I needed to go down there. Apparently, the Alpha gobbled the money from pack members and was flexing while they sat in poverty.” He scoffs. “Such ridiculousness.I scoff too. “Of course, the rigged systems are also here in the werewolf world. So, what did you do to him?”“Demoted him to an omega, even his mate looked starved and he used the pack money to sleep

Brooklyn.Logan sees Dr. Fiona out. Before that, she leaves me two doses of vamporinite to administer when the pain returns. I'm grateful for it. After making sure she knows that, Logan sees her off. “You okay, B?” Billie asks, her voice softens. I give her a nod and go under the warmth of the comforter. Right now, my mind is on Landon and the fact that he yet again kept something from me. How many more secrets is he hiding from me?? Her eyes flicker between Landon and I. She chuckles lowly, “see you at breakfast tomorrow?” I nod again. “Goodnight.”Billie glances at Landon who's currently looking everywhere but me. She shakes her head one more time before going out. As soon as the door shuts beside her, I peer up at Landon. Sighing, I scoot over and tap the space beside me, “get in. I need some warmth.” He may have kept an important..very important secret from me, but I rather talk it out than go mad.Landon looks down at me for a few seconds, his eyes give nothing away as he p
